Wonderful company, tracked my order, thought it was lost and refunded me. Then the article arrived, but they declined a payment suggesting it be donated. Very impressive 😊👍

Good information in general of UK canal waterways - for travel needs to be used in conjunction with the local/region guide booksI would say to don't really need this unless you are planning a route of the whole systemThe local guide book is better and can be used independently

The essential starting point for all canal trips
This is a relatively inexpensive yet comprehensive chart of Britain's Inland canals and rivers. It is a bit large and cumbersome, but typical of a large fan-folded chart or map. (49 x 38 inches /125 x 96 cm) It is thick and wipable semi-water-resistant paper - printed on one side, with a thicker outer cover. It is the essential starting point for planning any canal trip, and a useful underway reference (if folded to display the area you are traversing). It only gives you the technical navigational data for canals and rivers that you need to plan the mechanics of your trip. You will need to obtain the appropriate Waterway Guide for the area you want to visit in order to get detailed local information about attractions, shops, pubs, facilities, etc. This map is one thing everybody needs on-board. The rest is up to personal preference.

Bad store, don't waste your time or money
Don't waste your time or money. I ordered this map, said 9 available. My order was canceled, said because it's out of stock; still showing 9 available.

Maps it Out
Just arrived from Britain and on first inspection looks good. Should help with following progress on FoxesAfloat.com, CruisingtheCut.com and similar narrowboat vloggers.

Excellent fold-out map showing the entire inland waterways system of Great Britain.
As far as I'm aware, this is the only full-size fold-out map of the Great Britain's entire canal map network currently in print. Luckily, it's clear and nicely presented and full of accurate detail. All navigable inland waterways are covered, plus many unnavigable ones that are currently being (slowly) restored. This is a new edition for 2016, but it follows the exact same style as previous editions, and as far as I can see contains only one real new addition: thanks to a spot of good luck with willing landowners, the 10 mile long Somerset Coal Canal is now marked as being in restoration. The map is great for giving an overview of the entire system, and long distance route planning. You'd struggle to use it as a detailed navigation guide for cruising individual waterways - for that, you could do worse that refer to the set of detailed spiral-bound Waterways Guides that Nicholson also publish.

Great map and detail
Great map for all the details of the canal system. As I am an avid walker, it's really helpful to follow the canals on the map and see what's what and where to go. I bought it for this reason.
