MIC 1N4001 DO-41 Axial Silastic Guard Junction Standard Rectifier Diode (Pack of 1)

I needed a diode for a new doorbell button. Because I knew nothing about this, my purchase was based soley on reviews for this seller. As with other customers, this very small part restored the full function of my chimes. It solved my problem so I am happy. But this very tiny part can be purchased in bulk, from other vendors, for price I paid for only one. So the actual cost of these should be closer to cents rather than dollars. I only needed one, but with this ridiculous profit margin, I somehow thought that possibly a spare might have been included with my order. In the past when I over paid for things like this, many companies would add a bonus, if for nothing else than goodwill and fairness.

Have a chime doorbell that would only work if you held the buttoning down. When I moved from my previous home, the diode was accidentally left in the old doorbell button. For 3 years I have shopped for a diode the would work, and I must say that diodes are not well know in my area. Even in electronic stores, many clerks didn't know what a diode was. Anyway, when I looked on Amazon and read the comments from other customers, I ordered the MIC 1N4001. I was thrilled when I installed the new diode and the chimes worked perfectly. Thank goodness for Amazon.

My Miami Carey musical doorbell of 20 years started "ringing the doorbell" many times a day with no one pushing the button. I replaced the button and used this diode and now it works perfectly.When I first attached the diode, there was no improvement in the length of the tune. I swapped the diode around (it is directional) and then the full tune played.Shipping--my purchase arrived in the mail 2 days after I ordered it.Oh happy day!

I replaced my doorbell's pushbutton and the doorbell would no longer complete it's full chime (it would stop as soon as you let go of the button). I then discovered that I needed to install a diode with the pushbutton. So I ordered this bad boy, installed it in about 5 minutes and voila! My doorbell is now completing the chime again.

I bought a new doorbell button that didn't let my chime finish when someone hit it, so you would only hear the chime for a split second. Attached this diode to each terminal on the button, and now the chime finishes every time.

My dad's chiming doorbell has it been working for years because we couldn't find the right diode. This one worked like a charm.
