Not stable enough for me
The prong on the bottom that holds the bowl and blade is too short. I had to keep repositioning it, as I poured some walnuts. I ended up cutting myself. Returned it.

VERY effective, inexpensive and easy to use food chopper
I have used this chopper about 15 times since purchasing a couple of weeks ago. I use it mostly for making pico de galo salsa, or chopping onion, peppers, herbs, tomatoes, carrots and the like. I had a previous version of this device. The exact same design except for the blade assembly. This new one is superior. I used the old one for a few years before it just got too dull. It wasn't cutting the vegetables as much as macerating them. Still, a good run for the price, so I went back to the well. The new design uses three blades rather than only two. More significantly the blades are each mounted at different depths on the shaft. By cutting through three planes it has the effect of moving the product about in the container and minimizes the need to re-arrange the partly chopped material half way through. It is fast, and VERY neat. The product is coarse or fine, simply depending on how long you crank on it. I really like this product. If I can get a couple of years out of it before it dulls I'll be delighted. Even a single year wouldn't be bad for the price. Highly recommended.Followup information. As of July 22 I am still using this device two to four times per week. It is still performing very well. The key to the longevity is to sharpen the blades. I am using the 600 grit "credit card" style honing plate. I along with the bevel of the blade several times to sharpen it and then use it flat on the back side to de-burr it. I do this after every other use and it still is going strong. Love this little gadget!!

GreatForSteaksForKids,OnionsNoTearsEtc
After using a smaller style for grandkids to chop food. Granddah wanted one for steaks. Bought it, then Grandmama saw the advantage for chopping onions, etc for cooking and making veggie drinks. Poor Granddah. Now we have 3x grandkids, 3x small (1× for travel) and this one- lol Granddah.

Excellent little chopper/whipper
For smaller amounts this little chopper can't be beat. A member of my household has trouble eating, so I use this chopper to chop cabbage extremely fine for easy-to-eat coleslaw. It also chops onions without causing tears, and whips whipping cream fast. Blades are extremely sharp, so care is necessary when handling them.

SUCKS! What a piece of crap!
It's kind of annoying. You have to pull the string ALL the way out to get it to chop/process properly. I think I prefer the ones with the crank handle on top. Plus it desperately needs a handle, or edge you can grab onto. It's a pain in the fanny trying to get it out of a corner cupboard because there's nothing to really grab on to. that being said, it does chop and process stuff nicely. UPDATE I've used this damn thing a total of FIVE times. The cord frayed and broke. Will NOT be buying this type of chopper ever again.
