Great Quality, Easy to use and Good Looking Pen / Stylus
Initially I was wary of the poor reviews and the price of this pen / stylus but eventually took the plunge and bought one; I'm so glad I did, it is amazing and makes multi-tasking so much quicker and easier. The pen has a quality feel to it and the writing quality of the pen end is as good as any Parker etc pen I've ever used. The slightly moulded barrel allows good grip without requiring too much pressure or exact hand positioning like some moulded pens.Turning the pen upside down to use the stylus end couldn't be easier and lets you flick from one task to another whether paper or screen based and means you no longer need a pocket or bag full of pens/stylus etc.The stylus end is activated by placing at least some part of your hand on the slightly indented part of the barrel and then using the end as though it is your finger; you can hold the pen in your fist and work it, it doesn't require you to be able to maintain a "normal" pen holding position. After a bit of practice, the use of the stylus is much more accurate for selecting small icons etc on screen than your finger and the variety of different hand positions you can use to hold the pen really helps avoid the sore hands that pro-longed finger pointing / pen use can provoke.

Probably the best pen I've ever used.
I knew Stabilo were good writing instruments, but always stuck with other brands of established pens. Thought I'd give the Stabilo Smartball, right hand, a try, as I got it half price in a well known stationers, I also got two refills too.Well three years later, I'm still using my right handed Stabilo Smartball pen. These pens are remarkable, in three ways, longevity of the ink, the comfort, and the ink flow. These are the most three important design elements in a pen for me. The look of the pen, I'm not worried about, the Smart ball is function over appearance. The cost is relevant to productivity. In other words, these pens write a long way, with maximum comfort. The stylus tip is an added bonus, but not something I use. I use my Stabilo Smart Ball everyday. For me they are so good to use I have two, one for work one for home.

Sadly it broke in the middle.
These are wonderful pens, very nice - would absolutely be my second choice from the Paper Mate ink joy 2 in 1 stylus pink which is hard to impossible to get, and they break all the time well, lots of weak points sadly. But there is a weak point it seems in the Stabilo 2.0, and that is the middle - the stylus part is impressively sturdy and has yet to break on me and is also one of the better ones working. Usually the Stylus part break on all these kinds of pens I have tried, designed obsolescence as the Devil does, but on this pen it seems to be the middle they designed to break. Sadly. If they made a pink/red version ink, and fixed the breaking issue - this is a very nice top choice to buy by all the different ones I have tested out through the years. Use pen stylus all the time for my mobile.

Wrong colour no packaging.
Wrong colour I ordered black blue not black and disgusting cactus green thank goodness it's still right handed and black ink or I couldn't use it for my math exam on Tuesday. It also came in no packaging, now no packing is better for the environment which is fine but if it had been as part of a gift it would have looked thoroughly disappointing and 2nd hand.Seems a decent enough pen at first glance, bit pricey but if it's comfortable and the stylus lasts it will be worth it.

Shame about the stylus
The biro part is excellent for writing with but the touch surface stylus end is pretty much a gimmick as it is hit and miss, more miss than hit in fact, on all the touch surface devices I have tried it on. This makes it a very expensive biro that is at least twice the price it would likely be without the stylus end. When it runs out I won't bother getting this version again though I would happily buy a version with just the biro part at about half the price as it is a really nice writer and the writing end is very comfortable in the hand. The inconsistent stylus and hence the inflated cost is the reason for the loss of two starts. The same pen without the stylus and about half the cost would get five stars.

STABILO SMARTball Right Handed Black Ink Ballpoint Pen with Touch Screen Function - Black/ Cyan Blue excellent product, i have spent lots of money on other stylus pens but i have to say this one is the very best i have ever had! dual purpouse very easy to hold for both uses! i have very bad athritus in my hands and as of now i will never have to worry about the grip on this item! excellent quality, very sturdy and very easy to hold, not a lot of pressure is needed to write or to type taxt messages on my touch screen phone, works well on ipod touch too, so its uses are endless when it comes to using my very athritic hands! well done stabilo,, excellent!

Avoids finger marked iPad and is precise.
Great for someone who hates getting screen fingerprinted on iPad. Also good if fingers fat. Hope it lasts longer than the other two I've had of different brands. Pen very useful too and a good quality biro. Update. The stylus rubber has split after 2yrs. Not too bad I suppose.

Very scratchy feeling when writing with.
I am trying to find a nice pen to write with and to practise my handwriting. I struggled as a child, my parents never helped me and I just grew up with a very awkward style, I developed which just became worse and worse over the years. I am now, many years later trying to improve and I was looking for a nice pen which would allow me to write with a feeling of flow, as some pens have and many dont. this one dont I mean doesn't. the best way i can describe the contact with the page when writing is 'scratchy' it does however sit nicely in the hand, which is good, I only wish the contact with the page felt nicer. I have just bought a retro parker ball pen and that is much better. shame though, I liked this design of this pen.
