Beautifully made, smaller than expected, does what it’s ment for.
Lovely little item , quick delivery , smaller than expected but I should of checked measurements before ordering, does what it’s intended for. Only lost 1 star as some of the wood was scuffed where it should be smooth, doesn’t effect usage but it’s a shame.

Awful
The item delivered bears absolutely no resemblence to the one advertised. The build quality is awful - flimsy, un-sanded, rotting wood glued together off centre. This is not the advertised product.

useful and practical
I did wonder about this, when it first arrived. It is small, beautifully made from an attractive wood. In use it helps to form flat bread that you can do by hand without too much effort, but I found that it does make the process of forming these breads into round forms a bit easier, even on larger forms such as pizza bases. The finish, in my hands, at least, is rustic, which is more interesting, in my opinion. If you want it flat, you can just use a roller and cut round a plate. For the price, this is a nice implement to have in the kitchen, but you can live without it: I'm pleased I have it and will use it whenever I make flat breads.

Perfect!!
Arrived before due date, well packaged. Contrary to what others have said; the handle is firmly attached, and appears to be counter-sunk and glued into the head. The wood is smooth and there is no varnish or paint on it; rather, it appears be either lightly waxed, or oiled, either way, I have oiled it lightly with a rub of olive oil. There is also no smell at all; 'cultural' or otherwise - whatever the previous reviewer meant by that!

Great
I'm so pleased I bought this little device! I've been in Pakistan and India and have used and even seen these little Chapatti Press (Roti Press) being made! I could see this one was handmade and absolutely worth every penny I paid for it! I use it in 2 ways actually! 1st - to push apart the doughball, to make it flat evenly and then i can roll it out easier into a Chapatti and 2-to stop me burning my Hands or fingers, as I'm cooking the Chapatti on the Chapatti Pan! I push on the chapatti, when it raises into a ball!

We bought this to make patacones. I wasn't expecting it to work well because of the slightly convex and unwaxed bottom. It actually works very well.
