Oxford Handbook of Clinical Examination and Practical Skills 2/e (Flexicover)

My friend paramedic recommended it, as he still uses it after multiple years in industry. It’s quite helpful and covers most important aspects. I bought it as a present for another friend, who’s studying at the moment, he is really happy with it! Book is really nice quality as well.

Book is great but this is how it arrived and I can’t get this sticky cardboard strip off! It’s not off the packaging it came in, so must have been like this when put in the box

Incredibly well laid out, easy to navigate and find exactly what you want. Small enough to carry around on shift and pull out whenever you get a few minutes. I love it. Easy and clear to understand, pitched at a decent level without over complicating the facts and something I can see being useful post qualification. My best buy without doubt. ... wie bei allen Oxford Handbooks! Einfach nicht zu vergleichen mit Lehrbüchern dieser Art aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum. Es wird viel deteillierter und trotzdem einfach verständlich auf wichtige klinische Aspekte eingegangen. Diese Bücher lesen sich fast wie Geschichten, weil sie nicht nur wichtige Dinge auflisten, wie so manches andere Lehrbuch. Geeignet sowohl als Kitteltaschenkompane, als auch als Gute-Nacht-Lektüre zum Schmökern zuhause. Ich bin begeistert!

Sono all'ultimo anno del corso di laurea in medicina e chirurgia e ho scelto di comprare questo manualetto della collana Oxford medical handbooks per avere a portata di mano un concentrato di semeiotica. L'approccio alla semeiotica del mondo anglosassone è , a parer mio, molto differente dal nostro: Molto più pragmatico, rapido e in un certo senso, anche superficiale. La semeiotica classica che viene spiegata sui testi tradizionali Italiani è molto bella, ricca e affascinante ma aihmè, spesso è difficile da applicare nella pratica di tutti i giorni. In questo volumetto ci sono le cose essenziali, utili come checklist nel primo approccio al paziente. Ci sono molte foto e immagini esplicative. Avevo sfogliato questo manuale in una libreria ma non l'avevo comprato per via del prezzo alto (circa 40€). Su amazon l'ho trovato a 25€ con spedizione inclusa (Prime) dal Regno Unito! L'ho preso al volo e ne sono contento. Non aspettatevi tutte le nozioni della semeiotica classica che si trovano nei voluminosi tomi italiani, ma un approccio un po' diverso, che comunque arricchisce.
