Neutrogena Sunscreen SPF 55 is a game-changer, especially for those with dry skin like me. Ive just come back for a weeks summer holiday. I suffer with what I think is malasma on my face and so I try not to expose my face to the sun too much, but sometimes you have no choice if you are out for the day. This sunscreen is very light, once rubbed in and IS dry to the touch rather than greasy like most higher factor sunscreens. Of course there is no complete protection from the sun, so my malasma has developed a little in the sun but being so well protected stopped the rays getting to my face as much as they would have done, and it does appear to be well lasting, after sweating a fair bit and also going for a dip in the pool, however I did reapply fairly regularly.

I took this on a two week holiday around Austria, Slovenia and Croatia, through cities, hills, lakes and beaches, lots of walking and swimming. I get sunburned really easily, but didn't burn at all with this cream. It is non-shiny (you can wear make up on top), smells good and absorbs quickly. I still freckled and tanned, but absolutely no burns. It is small enough to fit in hand luggage, and I will definitely be purchasing again.

I got this because I wanted something to use daily on my face with a high SPF and decent UVA protection. It didn't have a strong smell, sunk in nicely, left a dewy but not oily/shiny finish and didn't pill/roll with my mineral powder foundation. It was nice and moisturising, however it really felt quite heavy on my face all day and my make up didn't last well. It also stung like crazy when I rubbed my eyes towards the end of the day. Overall, for use on my face I prefer a more matte finish to my products really. I'm using a Korean watery essence facial spf instead now. Much lighter with none of the drawbacks of a traditional cream. I will keep this for use on the rest of my body/kids etc though.

Good sunscreen , my only issue is the white cast it leaves behind when applied

Great sunBLOCK to wear under makeup. No greasiness, in fact it seems to make my makeup sit better, which is good as I do not use a primer during the day. CHECK expiry dates though, as I am not sure how long one can use this after the expiry date and my last one turned up with less than 9 months til the expiry date. A tube usually lasts me about a year, using on face a neck, at least 3 days a week.

A very important item to stop skin burning. Very gentle, non whitening, safe to use on the eye area and stops burning

First of all - I’m VERY sensory sensitive. The cream not only is not “dry to touch”, but also leaves a white cast and smells TERRIBLY. And I don’t mean a sort of natural, bland smell that some hypoallergenic products have - this smells like grease. I love Neutrogena but this product is unfortunately not it!

Me encantó, la textura es lo mejor, no se siente pesada aunque es en crema, se absorbe muy rápido y deja acabado semimate, parece que no traes nada puesto, no se siente grasoso ni pegajoso. Deja una capa blanca muy finita, a penas perceptible (depende del tono de piel), pero no quedas como fantasma jaja y si usas algo de maquillaje, no se ve para nada. La verdad para mi está bien, la protección es buena y el precio me parece increíble.

I must admit that - as an African American - I was very intimidated when searching for a sunscreen. I'd never worn sunscreen before and had never given it any thought. The only reason I began researching sunscreens is because I began using an AHA product that causes photosensitivity, which made the use of sunscreen essential. I've previously been ignorant to the fact that though the melanin in my skin provides some protection from the sun, it's not nearly enough to negate the need for sunscreen. Thankfully, I've come to my senses. As I was researching, I'd read a lot about many sunscreens appearing white on the surface of the skin. Sunscreens containing zinc oxide and titanium oxide are said to be the most visible on African American/ethnic skin tones, so I avoided those. Unfortunately, however, those seemed to be among the most highly recommended sunscreens. After days of research, I was relieved when I came across Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch because it did not contain the aforementioned ingredients, seemed to contain the protection I needed, and was reasonably-priced. This sunscreen works just as I'd hoped. Firstly, I've noticed no adverse effects from being out in the sun while using my AHA product, which seems to indicate that this sunscreen is doing its job. Secondly, I found "Dry-Touch" to be a very apt phrase to use to describe this sunscreen, as it certainly cannot be felt on the surface of the skin. Once it goes on, it's gone. This goes for its appearance on the surface of the skin, as well. It blends into the skin very easily (very little rubbing required) and cannot be seen. Given that I have light-medium brown skin, it would be immediately apparent if this was a product that did not blend into the skin properly. This sunscreen genuinely looks and feels as if I've put nothing on besides my normal skin care products, which was very important to me. The smell is also mild (it actually smells pretty good to me) and seems to dissipate after application. Besides being worried about how the sunscreen would look and feel on my skin, I was also concerned about whether this product would cause breakouts. I'm in my mid 20s and still prone to pimples here and there. I'm very careful about what I use on my skin and - besides my AHA - only use natural products that contain ingredients that I know are beneficial to my skin and won't cause breakouts. Obviously, with sunscreen, I couldn't have that same control and had to just get over the fact that it would contain a ton of chemicals that are unfamiliar to me. Despite my apprehension, I haven't experienced a single breakout - or any irritation - since starting this product. Though I have nothing to compare this sunscreen to, I can say that I feel very fortunate to have found such a great sunscreen on my first try and will definitely be back for more when my first tube runs out.

10年以上使ってます。 ちょっと白く残ったり、ベタついたりもしますが時間経てば馴染むし、嫌な匂いもないし。 他のも使ってみましたが、満足出来なくて これ以外は使いません。

The expiration date was August this year. Obviously old stock that had been kept for a long time. There were stains on the tube that could not be washed off. I promptly threw it away.

Really love this product! I’ve been looking for a good sunscreen for a long time and finally found one. It feels light on the skin, not sticky at all, and gives a nice, smooth feel. My skin feels fresh and protected.
