Brilliantly executed product, well built, well supported and easy to use - it will improve your playing and your performances.
Recomended by JustinGuitar.com (who I strongly recomend back for 'free' lessons) and is superb. Enables huge strides in learning, composing/constructing and performing. You can upload songs and backing tracks to one stereo channel (thanks JamTracks for sorting the free JamTracks which are superb especially the Jazzy Blues) so you can play along or slow them until mastered on the other track. You can just capture your noodling and then build the best ideas into multilayered tracks with bassline, chords etc. You can lay down a basic blues chord pattern and just go pentatonic crazy over the top. You can lay down more complex chord prgressions and really 'hear' as well as practice your modes. You can now do band practice without your band mates (or all parts if you have no mates!). Nothing has improved my play more than actually 'performing songs' rather than just practicing. Also you can record your basic dry sound (after any overdrive/booster used to colour the tone) and then can experiment with re-amping/effecting that signal to get your perfect set-up - somethign which does not go down well at band practice but can hugely effect the quality of your performance. And as stereo you can amp two channels seperately - lead and backing chords etc. It is an incredible tool. But given so many DAWs out there where this really hits is its useability - it is true bypass so you can leave it on your pedal board all the time without sucking your tone. So its already there if you have an idea or you want to hear something back or want to practice something off an online lesson/track.And it works via simple foot clicks - one tap to record, one to end recording, one to play back one to stop, one to overdub another part and a really useful one - to delete the last layer and re-do.So this is something that you can actually use as part of your (bands) practice or as part of a live show without it getting in the way of that organic process. Its well built, works and has good customer supprt (and at JamTracks too).I think the X2 is definitely worth the few pounds more than the original and the bigger box and hence space on the pedal board for the more fail safe useability of the seperate footswitches. And then you have the USB link to upload or download your loops (and those of your band mates/ others / professional track producers/ your favourite songs) so that it becomes a great link between your computer and the outside world and your own creativity.I don't know how I lived before my X2!!!

Great bit of kit just one real limitation..
I toyed with only giving this a 4* rating but realised if I did I'd just be a right idiot to do so..... Lemme explain! So I bought this on the back of cracking reviews on here and online elsewhere. I was looking for a loop pedal and hadn't heard of this particular one before and just happened to stumble upon it on a daily deal one day.It gives all the spiel about being designed by guitarists for guitarists etc. Well it does deliver! It's a great little looper provider nice clear recordings/signal. Instructions are so simple it's a joke not because they're rubbish but because the thing is so damn easy to use! Also it is tiny, and I mean super tiny it's like half the size of any of my Boss pedals.I've never managed to fill it up in terms of time layers etc and don't think I ever will. Connections and bypass seem great too. I like the colour design size simple single knob etc too.So why did I you with 4*? Well it's limitation is that I can't 'bank' recordings in the same way that you can with other pedals, but then I already KNEW that was a limitation before buying it! And to be honest bar a few times it would have been nice I find this is a cracking little unit they I love using to jam along to myself or test some layering of guitar tracks prior to actually going through the effort of recording them in Logic Pro X. Plus it's great for just messing around with if I feel like jamming with myself or sticking something on endless loop and leaving it on to annoy the other half..... :)

Good quality sound and unique features
I love this pedal so much and I can't say its enhanced my playing by a lot but its allowed me to try new genres of music I've never played and get better at soloing too :) The reverse feature and half speed are incredibly useful for ambient music, I'm very happy they included and it definitely makes the product stand out along with the ability to save a loop(or import one) and record multiple loops over each-other. The fact you can use batteries or use an adapter is simply beautiful. In terms of the design it's kind of bulky but it's very easy to use and learn. I'd recommend getting it due to its unique features, easy to use nature and just fun of using it, I believe it will always be a classic pedal for guitar users! The only downside I can think of is the price (which is justified by the unique features and quality) and how sometimes I've had to unplug it due to it acting weird (that has been very rare for me though). It depends what you want to use the pedal for to be honest but for my purpose it has been excellent. The sound quality is great too!

Good fun to practice with, but not sure it's suitable for performance
This is the first looper pedal I've owned and I'm happy with it so far. I took it out the box, didn't bother reading any instructions and just started playing. It's intuitive, so you don't need the instructions and there's not many of them anyway. I thought it might have been difficult to get the timing right to create loops, but it was actually easy and mine worked first time pretty much every time.Pros:smalleasy to usegreat fun to play around withintuitive and easy to get going with from the offCons:Need to buy power cable separately. Just include one and increase the price by a fiver to avoid giving people unnecessary hassle! If you want to stop and erase a loop, you have to double tap to stop, then step and hold to erase. This 3rd step causes the loop to start again for half a second before erasing, which will be really annoying for anyone playing live or recording material.Overall I'm happy for now. It's helping me with working on bits of lead guitar, and it's definitely improved my timing as I have a tendency to speed up as I play. I think someone wanting to use it live may want to look for an upgraded model though.
