Hi, To be very honest, I loved them at the time but, as I found later on some "CORN cakes" I like better, (organic, wholegrain.... good price, easy to open packet, and once opened, easy to seal - I have not bought any Biona organic unsalted rice cakes recently. Consequently, I could not tell you whether the wrapper for "No salt" organic Biona rice cakes is black or transparent, with letters in red.As far as I can remember, when I bought them from Amazon, the wrappers were black.I just found on Amazon the Biona unsalted rice cakes with lettering in red on a transparent wrapper. They claim to be gluten free, wholegrain, organic and unsalted - and they weigh the same as the rice cakes in black wrapper packets. What's very different about them, compared with same rice cakes in black wrapper packets, is their ridiculously high price per packet, and the £3.99 for delivery! Conclusion: to me, the contents of unsalted organic Biona rice cakes in a black wrapper or in a transpatent wrapper with red letters seem to be the same. I can't be absolutely sure but, it looks as if the transparent wrappers might be (gradually?) replacing the black wrappers. Only the manufacturers/distributors should know for sure.As always, it's worth reading carefully what's on the wrapper, shopping around, check weight and pricing per packet and....important too, tasting the product.

Is it suitable for a baby 9 months old?

I don't recommend this rice cakes to you. They are dry. If you wanna buy rice cakes buy them in the supermarket. This is more a bulk production product and less in quality in my eyes. I don't recommend giving rice cakes to babies, make healthy homemade fruit puree and homemade lunches and dinners that are quite liquid.
