Works well with Rode NT1 mic with screw base
There is a list of compatible mics on the Rode website. I wanted to know if it would work with my Rode NT1 which is NOT listed (the NT1A is listed) so I wrote to the Rode Australian website and was told that it fits the versions of the NT1 which have a screw base but NOT the older versions of the NT1 which don't have a screw base. Mine does have a screw base so I ordered the SM6 and, as well as being functional and brilliantly designed, it is a thing of beauty. So much better than the heap of junk I used before (which looked like a tangle of string and didn't like being used at an angle - its black strings falling out of the clips). The SM6 is perfectly happy and robust when angled. Well worth the extra cash. You wouldn't have thought a mic holder could give so much pleasure in use! And no, in case you're wondering, I'm not related to anyone working for Rode and I wasn't given a free sample. I just bought it and liked it. If you want to bring a bit more joy into your life, you should buy one too. Enjoy.

Reliable product!
I use this shock mount with the Rode NT USB, and despite what other people said about reaching the dials, I haven't had any issues, though I do have somewhat smaller hands than the average consumer :'). I haven't had any issues with the headphone jack being unusable due to the mount obstructing it, but that's because I have the microphone slightly twisted so that I can plug in my cable in between the elastics. The pop shield is really good, double layered, and I actually switched out the one I was using previously, as this one is so good. You can adjust the height and the angle that it sits at which is pretty nice :) I don't have any complaints about this product, it feels pretty sturdy! I'd recommend spending on this rather than cheaping out on something less reliable. As tempting as it is, I believe this shock mount is worth every penny.

Not heard a rumble since
I use this shock mount to attach my NT-USB to my PSA1 arm. The microphone arm is clamped to my desk, so adding a shock mount was essential in order to minimise vibrations. Since installing, vibrations and rumblings are a thing of the past. The included pop filter has two layers that are separated slightly and is very effective.

Sturdy, practical but mine is wonky.
Replacement for aged previous model. Only issue is that this one was badly manufactured. It sits at an odd angle but does the job.

Well designed, engineered and made - 1st class piece of kit
This is an impressive piece of engineered equipment and well thought out for it's purpose. It holds my Rode NT1A mic firmly and the suspension is very efficient. The pop filter has a double membrane for extra efficiency and the filter can be easily adjusted for distance from the mic. It can be removed if necessary. Why only four stars? - My only suggestion to improve it would be the screwed part for the boom arm of a mic stand. The existing design is perfectly useable but I suggest a separated thread adapter would have been better than the double sized recess screw. However, this is only a small detail in what is a very impressive piece of equipment.

Great Shock Mount
Great Shock Mount! I've just placed it on my stand with a vocal booth too and it looks amazing. I was a bit sceptic because the NT2-A it's quite heavy but it suits it perfectly. The integrated pop shield it is also a great feature as sometimes it's tricky to put in a perfect position the ordinary ones. Highly recommended! =D

Can't cope with its own weight, let alone my Rode mic
I'm using this with a Rode NT1000. The feeble mount just can't hack it. The whole assembly droops, as does the ineffective pop shield which simply will not stay tight, causing much embarrasment in front of clients. The elastic susoension thread is stretched too far so as not to be effective any more. Consigned to a drawer. £20 maybe. Not £50.

Brilliant - highly recommended for Rode!
This is perfect to compliment other Rode products! I've used this on a Rode PSA1 mic arm, along with a Rode NT1000 broadcast microphone. If you want to make this an even better product, spend an additional £25 and get the Rode mic sock (the black foam that goes over the mic.) Yes, this has a pop shield, but coupled with the Rode mic sock pop shield, it's even better!

the shock mount is made of sturdy metal, the pop filter is made with two layers of cloth with an air space between them. The filter support telescopes, you can adjust the length and the angle on each end. All the parts are metal so you can crank down hard on the knobs and not break anything. The elastic is stiff enough there is not much sag in any mounting direction. The microphone attaches to a captive treaded ring nut. The whole thing mounts with either standard American microphone stand threads or the smaller European type threads. I tried kicking the stand with the microphone live and yes it reduces the noise greatly but of course not 100%. I thought the price was a little to high but when you consider you get a quality pop filer that is a no-brainer to mount and adjust and remains "put in place" the price is reasonable. This is NOT a general propose generic shock mount. It is designed for only a few Rode model microphones with threads on the bottom that fit the threaded ring nut.

I bought this thinking my MXL microphone would fit, but it does not, I got a new NT-USB microphone from RODE On the box and in the details it does not mention that model of microphone but it does FIT! If you want a wind shield it might be too tight. I 100% recommend this product if you have a RODE microphone, but if you don't have a rode it will probably not work together due to the thread size on the microphones.
