Great lens
I got the m4/3 lens.I initially had most luck using the lens mounted facing straight down on my tripod, as focusing that way seemed easier. After a few days i purchased a focusing rail, and i can only recommend that if you pick up this lens you get a focusing rail at the same time (i picked up a cheap one on amazon), it really makes a world of difference. And makes using this lens far more enjoyable. This lens produces very sharp "micro" images, from my tests its sharpest at f22. Because of the very shallow dept of field at f22, you probably want to focus stack images when taking pictures of objects that aren't just flat. Thats what produced the best results by far in my case anyway. So far it has been very fascinating trying to find objects that look really interesting up close. The most surprising items can result in at times almost artistic images, looking nothing like you would expect before getting in so close.I where a bit skeptical about the built in lighting at first, but it works perfectly and makes taking pictures of tricky subjects much easier than using an external light source.

Special glass
Got a great discount on this gem of a glass. Arrived quickly to Bulgaria. A very specialised, supermacro lens which needs a sturdy tripod and a slider for fine focus adjustments. Handheld shots will be hit or miss (the attached photo is actually shot handheld). Solidly made and fits fine on my micro 4/3 camera. Highly recommended if you know what you are buying!

Great for extreme macro pictures
This review applies to the micro 4/3 version of the lens. The Yasuhara Nanoha brings new new possibilities for extreme macro enthusiasts, allowing up to 5x magnification. It's a manual lens, having only two controls: the magnification and the aperture settings. Focusing is achieved either by changing the magnification or by moving the camera back and forth. I have to mention here that achieving perfect focus can be a problem, especially at 5x magnification, and I highly recommend the use of a focusing rail.
