My daughter in law bought a much cheaper one and it is just as good if not better. I would not spend this sort of money again, even though I always try to buy the best. The best is not always the most expensive. I do like this make, but it doesn't come up to scratch with this item. It's not superior. It's good but not worth the extra price.

Not easy to use. Despite sparingly used, the black insert started to melt while making an omelette within 2 years.

The bottom of this turner does not seem to be properly heat resistant, leading me to wonder if it is actually silicone or just nylon. The bottom edge has degraded (see photo) and is now shredding small bits of black material into the food, so am throwing it out. Really expected more from Le Creuset given that this is almost the most expensive version of this product available on Amazon- all the other things I have from Le Creuset have been excellent quality and have lasted ages.

Expensive plastic rubbish

These are brilliantly designed and have a silicone type flexible edge to prevent scratching your expensive pans. A little pricey but I would happily pay that little extra with the comfort that they work well and last. Clean easily and don’t melt or misshape with heat.
