Everything you need for easy wine making with a box kit. I didn't like the disinfectant provided, as it is javex based and requires scrubbing and rinsing. instead I use a couple squirts of iodine diluted in water, then plunge or spray my equipment... this method only requires rinsing and doesn't risk to alter the taste of the wine. Plastic is a lot lighter than glass so manipulating the tubs is made easier... also I like the temperature sticker on the tub, so you can see the C. degrees of your brew.

Purchased this kit, and a heater mat (which is also useful for yogurt making), I am just about to clear the wine off, so can't review the taste. But the hydrometer readings show 11% abv achieved. You do need to put it on a tray as the fermentation process is extremely active. Also the information on how to use the kit should mention that you need to take a Specific Gravity reading before fermentation. As SG at the start less SG at the end div by 7.45 gives you the alcohol content you have achieved. I had to get this from Youngs who wrote the info sheet, they told me it was 1080. I'm at 1080-998 div 7.45= 11%. Fermentation has ended more or less, so I'll leave it for two more days and then clear it down and syphon/finish it off for bottling. Its been great fun, and I would recommend this kit for have a go beginners.

Very useful but the tap on the bucket at the bottom no matter how hard I try and attach it still has a very slow leak

Do not buy this. I'm very disappointed. The bucket with the tap leaks all over the place, ruining 30 bottles of wine. This is not fit for purpose and a complete waste of money.
