Colourful and lovely
This is such a lovely set! Bought for a 5 year old girl who loves practical activities. Her and her mum have had so much fun with it, it’s been easy to use with good instructions. The experiments are lovely and colourful. Great value for a gift and would buy again.

Great Fun, Huge Mess
This is a great present for a 4 year old, she wanted to play with it immediately,so we set to work.I am not the 4 years old parent and neither were we in my own house, so liberties may have taken which would not be allowed, or could be easily prevented, in a more controlled, more responsible setup. The dye was used up completely within the first 30 minutes, as we found many things upon which we could experiment with it. I had assumed a simple wipe down with a damp cloth would be enough to remove any of the dye which ended up on things we weren't necessarily experimenting on directly. That was a bad assumption. Our hosts wooden kitchen table is now indelibly stained a beautiful rainbow of different colours, or generally blacks and muddy browns, they think a quick sanding and re-varnishing should be all they need to do to restore it to its original condition.Hands, you would think a good wash would be enough to remove the worst of the stains. No, no amount of washing with soap and water can even touch these dyes. Some industrial cleaners we had to hand did the job for me but were deemed too chemically for use on nieces delicate young hands. It had definitely faded almost totally through natural means when I next saw her 2 weeks later. So all in all, marvellous fun. Maybe don't let Uncles be in charge of running the experiments though.

Brilliant for youngsters to explore
Granddaughter is home schooled and great to see her engaging with this. Bought for her 5th Birthday. But with supervision she was motivated to carry out all the experiments mixing colours etc. good fun for kids.

Great set
I have bought two of these in the past couple of years because they’re very good. To get the full benefit an adult needs to be engaged in the process. The experiments are fun and I especially liked dyeing flowers!!Kids loved that and crystal making too

Good quality fun kit
Kids loved this science kit. You can keep and reuse the probes for future projects - our kids didn't want to stop experimenting .

Missing parts
Bought this for my daughter's Christmas, but when we came to use it on Boxing Day discovered that the set was missing the food colouring and the pipette - the most important bits for all the experiments! The box was still sealed so they didn't just get lost in the chaos of Christmas morning either. Very disappointing. Had to go and buy food colouring once the shops were open again and use a kids medicine syringe as a pipette.

Great gift
Have bought this for several children usually age 5 as a gift and also had it bought for my 5 year old. It's a really fun and easy way to do some science experiments together.
