Makes Clean Up A Breeze!
Bought this for my 2 year old grandson who loves cars. The lid has little pockets to hold cars. They are a little tight for Hot Wheels, but stretch out a bit with use. The cars that do come with this are cheap, and you can just toss them. What's awesome about it is that it opens flat to create a little "town" with roads for your little one to play cars on, and then, when it's time for clean up, it folds up so quickly and easily into a box, and they can clean up themselves by tossing in all the cars. You put the lid on, secure it, and off you go! Great handles to carry it with too! My grandson is almost 4 now, and has so many more cars, and we use this mostly for car storage and transport now, although he sometimes will use the "roads" and play. It has held up remarkably well, and it has traveled far and wide and been through some rough play. Best things about the ZipBin Small Town:a) great to teach a young toddler "Clean Up"b) great to get down on the floor for interactive play for parents and/or grandparentsc) AWESOME for car storaged) almost indestructible and travels everywhere

parts missing!
A couple months later, I am still dissatisfied with the false product description. I ordered a 2nd one to exchange, and it came with the same parts missing. [see my earlier review below]But it is otherwise a very nice playmat and converts to a very nice container. The lid is designed like a deck of a parking garage, and has 10 parking spaces for match-box size cars. However, the item no longer comes with the elastic insert which would hold the cars upside down when you close the container. In the container itself, I would guess you could cram close to 100 matchbox cars. However, I've been collecting larger vehicles [4 to 6"] for my grandson, and currently have 9 in there with room for at least a dozen more.It is nicely designed, lays flat, then zips up easily as a container. The graphics [on BOTH sides of the mat and the lid] are bright and engaging, and a wipe-clean durable 'fabric'.EARLIER REVIEW:The concept is great, and everything that arrived will be great fun for my grandkids. BUT it did not include every feature it promised. Quoting from the amazon product page:"Product Description [. . .] A special feature is the parking lot (elasticized pockets) for storing lots of small cars under the lid. When play is done, the playmat becomes a toy bin in a zip, capturing the toys inside for easy clean up! Includes two cars."The play mat/storage bin is as described and really quite nice. BUT:1. it only included one car [the police car] and not the 2nd car as shown in the product pictures and as included in the product description. And there is no missing slot or wire tie for a 2nd car in the original packaging.2. it does not have the elasticized pockets for parking the little cars, as shown in the product pictures and as included in the product description.3. it does not have the "Strong Handles with Underbottom support" as shown in the pictures and described in the upper portion of amazon description.I have not been able to pull up a separate seller feedback page for this item, even though the other items in this order do have such links. And my grandchildren are due in a couple days for a short visit, so there is not time to return this and wait for a replacement. I will happily upgrade the rating when and if the seller can correct these omissions. I can provide photos.LATER: Now I see the pattern in the 26 reviews which preceded mine! From Nov. 2009 to Feb. 2012 apparently the item came as shown: 5 people comment on how useful the slots in the parking lid are. The only cons in that time were a few comments that the lid doesn't fit very well on the bin. BUT, beginning with Jan. 2013, 5 people have complained that there were no carry straps as pictured and described. Seller should have been paying attention in the past 8 months! The most recent complaint (July, 2013) also said there was only 1 car. And here I am, in August, saying NO CARRY STRAPS, ONLY 1 CAR, and NO SLOTS in the lid! I have emailed amazon customer service today [still no link to seller feedback for this product] and will post when I get some response.

Design is cute - Durability is an issue
This review is after a year of use...Pros: Great organizational productFun!InexpensiveExterior material is durable (no rips or busting seams)Cons:My only con is that it is made of cardboard - The outside is vinyl but under the vinyl it is made of cardboard and if you have kids you know what this means. Its bent out of shape, the lid barely fits on it anymore etc.My older child has kept his in good shape but the ones for my younger child have met the fate of the garbage can.Younger kids see 'box' and think 'stepping stool' or 'chair'Great for older kids though!

Do Not Buy!
This product is a piece of ..........! It came without those black handles that you see...plus it is VERY SMALL...also there was no packing label inside the box so that I could return it...Don't waste your time and money...even tho it is cheap ...it is not worth it!!

Not nearly as good as it looks
I thought this would be great for my son, but it's got a few flaws. Yeah, it's a neat little carry case, but the lid doesn't fit flush, and when you unzip it and lay it out, it doesn't lay flat - there are all kinds of bumps and seams and warps in it. All it's managed to do is frustrate him. It looks great, but the functionality is not what you'd think it would be.

My kids LOVE this
My 5 and 6 year-old sons love this car mat. The mat is made of a padded vinyl-type material, and the lid is made of the same material but with cardboard inside. When the mat is zipped up into a box-shape, it measures approximately 12"x10". When it's unzipped, it measures 22"x25".The car mat is really neat, and reversible. One side has railroad tracks, roads, construction zones, etc. The other side has roads, trees and buildings. The lid is reversible too! The top has roads, and the underside is a numbered parking lot that can fit ten cars.I also love the handles on the sides that make it easy to carry and the lid Velcro's on. This makes it easy to pack up to take somewhere, and it can fit TONS of cars. I highly recommend this car mat for parents of little car-lovers like mine.
