Cooks' Ingredients Cream Of Tartar Waitrose 140g

Fantastic to use alongside baking soda, to combine at the point of use (2:1, see instructions on this pack) to make a baking powder equivalent without the corn/maize/starch present in pre-mixed baking powders. I have fragrance allergies (including oxidised limoneme, which is present also in corn, so present also in pre-mixed baking powder), so this is the only way I can use a baking powder equivalent in baking. This means also that I can't eat premade baked goods made on baking powder (which contains corn and therefore Limonene), but rather have to make my own baked goods. Wish all bakeries used separate cream of tartar and baking soda to make their goods more accessible to everyone! Up to about 2% of the population have an allergy to Oxidised Limonene.

Good value as most supermarkets only sell sachets now. I use it for home made playdough.

Searching in vain the supermarkets for this product, found it not to be popular now so ordered on line , because they say you can buy owt’ on line. But wandering around a supermarket I don’t normally go in I found it, cheaper however I tried to return unopened to Amazon not realising you couldn’t return it.That will teach me to to read the small print.
