Can't be beaten for the price
As the title says, for the price (around £2.20) you really can't go wrong with this product. Purchased it as they don't include one with the PS3 (ridiculous if you ask me), and it works fine, no problems at all. What I particularly like is that it is short (0.75m) which is ideal if your PS3/Blu-Ray player is close to your TV and you don't want yards of cable cluttering things up. A word of warning when it comes to HDMI cables, many people will tell you (wrongly) that you need to buy a more expensive cable, as it gives you a better picture. Don't listen to them. HDMI is digital technology, therefore if all the information gets transferred correctly and completely from one end of the cable to the other, then the picture will be the same regardless of the cable (if it doesn't do this it will be immediately clear, no picture, very distorted picture, etc.). There is a placebo effect at work here where people claim to see a better picture from more expensive cables (it's their brain saying "it must be a better picture as it cost 50 times more than another cable"). What I will grant them is that the more expensive cables are very well put together, and therefore less likely to have an error, but at the prices being charged they are simply not worth it. If you buy a cheaper cable and is doesn't work properly, send it back, simple as that. Don't get me wrong, I will pay a premium for quality, but in this case the numbers just don't add up. Buy this cable, it does everything you want for very little money.

GOOD QUALITY AND WORKS PROPERLY
Bought at full cost, when I write a review you get the truth, good bad and ugly as it applies. Bought to go with the installation of up to date TV and Laptop connections. I bought several cables of differing lengths alongside connectors (to take out and about with my laptop in order) to allow chop and change lengths as appropriate whilst mobile as I do a lot of travelling. These cables are good quality and work absolutely fine. The cables are good comparative value especially beside high street prices. I would buy these again if needed

Excellent value HDMI lead
HDMI is a digital interface, therefore the data either arrives intact or not. For short leads (less than 3m) in a home environment (low levels of electrical interference), there is no requirement for high quality (expensive) cabling. In practice the quality of the connector contacts is the critical issue and this lead has perfectly acceptable connectors - they must be gold plated to avoid corrosion and future poor contact resistance. If the data is corrupted due to a poor cable or connector, you'll know about it on your screen. Small amounts of corruption (eg caused by interference) will still result in obvious picture defects. If these are evident, double check that all connectors are fully inserted and there is no damage to the cable. Always keep the leads as short as possible to reduce clutter and minimise pick-up of interference. Happily, the lead being reviewed here suffered from no quality problems and gave perfect results. Moral of the HDMI story: for the normal connections around your TV and player/recorder system(s), BUY THE CHEAPEST LEAD WITH GOLD PLATED CONTACTS that you can find.

HDMI cables
The first thing anyone needs to know about HDMI cables is that they all have the same picture quality when UNDAMAGED. Picture quality does not affect price because it is invariable, 1s and 0s do not change, it is the same principal with digital radio and why it is so much clearer. You start with the base cable, the materials etc are minimal cost, so the first variable is build quality. Obviously one such as this is not going to have the build quality of a £30 piece of cable (at least you would hope the extra price would mean extra quality). All this quality does is to make the cable more capable to withstand wear and tear and extra forces applied to the actual cable. Getting past these two, picture quality and build quality, what is left? Brand name. The only thing that largely separates a £25 cable and a £80 cable is brand name. There is only so far that build quality can go before getting into the highly unreasonable price wise. As for this cable? The picture and audio, as I've already stated is invariable, and therefore is identical to that of the HDMI cable that was in the box with my XBOX 360 elite originally. The build quality on this product is not going to challenge that of even a £30 cable, but for the price is far better than I was expecting. Rather than getting a "24k gold plated HDMI cable with plastic coating reinforced with weaved kevlar", or whatever bullcrap big companies want to churn out next for profit, I have a working HDMI cable, which does exactly what I want/need it to do. That's why it's 5 stars.

A little disappointed
Bought it initially to use with the PS3 and was a little disappointed. Had perfect picture, but no sound, just a constant clicking. Thought it was a faultly cable and was going to send it back. I decided to then swapped the cables over with my bluray player and everything was ok both for the DVD and the PS3. So not sure what the problem was but plan on trying it with an Xbox to see if there is an issue with gaming consoles. Apart from the cannot complain about the price and I suppose you get what you pay for.

Justo lo que buscaba cable HDMI barato que funcione perfectamente para una tele vieja. No soporta CEC HDMI 1.4, supongo que de ahí el precio, pero tampoco lo soporta la tele.
