Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Simply excellent. - I have been searching for a good easy to read book about herbs used in magic for some time. I am so very glad I got this book. As usual for (the late) Scott Cunningham, its a well written, easy to understand and well documented. Everything is listed and easy to find....divided up into gender, planetary, intentions....absolutely perfect. The pictures are line drawings..in black and white but are accurate and easy to identify (you could always get a photographic reference herb book to double check identity). There is not a vast amount of detail for each herb, but enough to guide you to choosing the right herb for your spell. Whilst many scoff at the idea of using herbs for spells....remember they have been used for centuries, as Mr Cunningham reminds us. Common sense must still be used....and as some other critique said My Cunningham suggests a bag of herbs protect your house better than an alarm....he doesn't, but adding a little extra magical herb cant go wrong if that is your belief! I highly recommend this book...for beginners or the more experienced like myself. I know I shall be using this reference book for years to come. Encyclopaedia of Magical Herbs (Llewellyn's Sourcebook Series) Review: Very informative - This is beautiful and has so much information. I bought it as a gift and they absolutely loved it. I did have a look before parting with it and am considering getting one myself

Some plants are missing, but informative and very good for foundation.
I found that some plants are missing for example Oregano. Maybe it has a reason and also it is a little old book so I am not sure. But other than that, I am finding it very useful when I burn herbs and make my own incense to put my intention accurately.

A must have!
A great book by the legendary Scott Cunningham who's easy going writing style has made it easy for most of us to read his books and this is certainly no exception, read, enjoy and learn! This is probably the best encyclopedia on the magical value of herbs and what their attributes are, it is not a 'how too' book but is a real mine of information & a must for any one studying any elements of the craft even if not really into the herbal side of things, if there is one 'must have' book on herbs, this would be it! I have used it in conjunction with other more medicinal based herb books and I would recommend anyone who is interested in herbs for magic to also read up on the medicinal values of herbs too, they both go hand in hand really, especially for the crafty hedgewitches out there!

I was bit skepticle regarding the order after reading the seller's review. But the seller Atlantic Publishers and Distributions Pvt. Ltd. did quite a nice job. They sends the original book. It took 15 days to reach but the service was good. About the book it is a great addition in any herbalist's library. You will get many informations regarding herbs, seeds and plants.

Great book, has herbs that are more common in US and Europe region (I think? Something to consider if you're from another part of the world). Nothing too in depth and good book to start your journey!
