This is a lovely little item. Battery is easy to replace (someone on a review somewhere said it was difficult but it really is not). The temperature response is not instant, how can it when it has to go through the plastic probe, but within a few seconds it's reading. The probe cable is a nice 36" 90cm in length meaning it can be dipped well into the water and leave plenty spare for keeping the LCD unit clear of water. The F/Celsius switch is also quick and easy to change. I checked the accuracy against three other thermometers and would say it is accurate to with 0.5 of a degree celsius. Perfectly good enough for as an aquarium or water change thermometer.

Nice compact unit, does what it says

Having purchased a few useless cheap thermometers for my new aquarium (none of which worked very well), I decided to research the alternatives and found this wonderful internal digital aquarium thermometer. The suction cups on the probe that is inserted into the water allows for it to be secured to the glass, although there have been a few occasions when it has come away from the glass and floated freely (although it still continues to give an accurate temperature reading). The digital display unit itself also has a suction cup, which I use to fasten to the side of the tank, which allows me to see the temperature quickly and be reassured of its accuracy. The unit itself can be turned off easily with the button on the top right hand corner; it only takes a fraction of a second for the internal probe (inside the tank) to display the temperature - and an easy switch allows you to read the temp in fahrenheit or celsius. I also use this little wonder to ensure the water being put into the tank during water changes is as close to the tank temperature as possible so that there's not too much of a shock for the fish. It's accessible, light and manouverable and I highly recommend it. I took a star off for the lack of complete suction on the interior probe, which can be changed using a cheap alternative that can be purchased on Amazon in their hundreds, so at some point I will replace the pad.

brought this to check the temperature of our western hognose snakes tank, it has been fab! super easy to set up, long lasting battery life, very small and compact, definitely is accurate, sticks perfect to her tank, just perfect.

Pleased with this digital thermometer which I bought for my 200 litre tropical fish tank. Got fed up with the internal ones with suction cups as my Plec kept bumping into it and then they would end up floating in the tank. With this one I just put the probe into the tank, used the suction cup to fix the digital reader on the outside of the tank and can then easily read it from a distance. Works great and “Bob’s your uncle” as they say.

It does the job. Clear display and different unit settings depending on your preference. Only problem I have had is with the sucker that is supposed to hold it in place. Doesn't stick very well and within a month the sucker was completely ineffective. Apart from that the thermometer is good. Update: thermometer failed within less than a year. Initially thought it was just the battery as the display became faint over time but replacement battery made no difference. Not sure what's caused it to suddenly stop working properly but lost a star as a result.

Yes, this is supposed to be for an aquarium but my car is too old to have an external temperature display, so I'm using it for that. The display is on the dash and the probe goes out into the void between the door and the inner seal [hence sensing the outside temperature]. It functions well, seems reasonably accurate and gives me a rough guide when to expect ice.

Ich bin sehr überrascht, wie gut und genau dieses Thermometer arbeitet. Konnte bis jetzt keine Abweichung feststellen. Praktisch sind die Saugnäpfe, womit zum einen der Temperaturfühler im Aquarium fixiert wird und zum anderen das Thermometer an der Frontscheibe am Saugnapf eingehängt werden kann. Gutes Produkt, klare Kaufempfehlung und wenn man etwas auf die Lieferung warten kann, gibt es das Thermometer zu einem unschlagbar günstigen Preis vom anderen Ende der Welt geliefert.

J'en suis ravie ! Il fonctionne et est juste ! Par contre, dommage qu'il soit déjà allumé lors du transport. Cela veut dire que la pile tiendra moins longtemps.
