Tends to squidge tomatoes, haven't tried cucumber but would imagine it would work. Bought mine for onions, carrots etc. brilliant for these type of things.

Q: How many blade attachments are provided?

Just one, this product is designed without interchangeable blades. Only cube shapes.

Q: Do you need to purchase any extras with this n how strong is this long lasting? Any sharp bits one have to careful with?

Unusually for Oxo this is a rubbish product. It cuts the inner of an onion and squashes the outer.
