Such an effective and great little tool
I have a load of tacks and staples on my stairs and it was really difficult to get them - this tool has been great - so little effort and it handles staples and carpet tacks beautifully. Also really good for opening paint tins too - great, strong little product

Good so far
I have a couple of crowbars with a tack/nail removing feature at the ends, however the shortest of these is c. 12" and so I needed something for removing some panel pins in an awkward place. This was a good price, I bought it, it arrived very soon and I removed the pins easily.I have only used it for those few pins so far, hence four stars as I have no idea how well it will fare long term.=============================================Seven months later: I have used this a few more times. Most times I would have used a small crowbar beforehand but, provided this gives enough leverage, this is easier to use and it has been fine.I just needed to take apart a small appliance where the plastic parts were held together by four small hidden lugs - where you need to lever the two pieces apart far enough to disengage the lugs and then slide the two pieces completely apart. This was excellent at doing that.

Very good
Excellent for removing tacks etc. Seems relatively sturdy and up to the task.

Cheap as chips
Used this to lift floorboard nails. Don't expect to much for the money, but if careful is very useful.

Very sturdy tool
Bought this on recommendation from a neighbour. Used it to remove staples from seat pads on 6 dining chairs. Great quality and definitely speeded up the process. You can buy different size ones and this was perfect for what I needed.

Very useful and surprisingly strong
Bought this tool for taking out the industrial staples that hold down plywood floorboards. This involves digging the end of the tack lifter into the floor, giving it smack with a hammer a few times then levering it up. Repeat hundreds of times. Yet this little tool is showing no damage despite my lack of care when my old tack lifter fell to bits after just a few dozen staples. Also great for levering nails out when a claw hammer couldn't be used, for example a nail with a smallish head near the corner of a right angle.Cheap but good qulity. Easily earned it money back already.

Sturdy tool, does the job
Bought this to recover some dining chairs and it's never let me down. The tips have a good taper to get underneath nails and staples, provides good leverage to pull them out.

Strong, but not the best
This product is usable and it takes a little bit of a knack to know how best to get the most out of it. Because of the thickness of the tip it is difficult to insert under flush tacks. In order to get under the tack I resorted to using a sharp screwdriver to lever up a 1mm, then having done this on a whole load of tacks I then used the tool to quickly pull out the tacks. For me this shouldn't be needed, the tool should be sharp enough to initiate the pull. Before I established my method, described above, I was putting a lot of pressure on the tool trying to get under suborn tacks, not only did this result in blisters but also, one clumsy slip resulted in the tool embedded into the end of my thumb, now that was painful and messy! I had to super glue the injury to save myself from stitches. For the above reasons I only give three stars as the tool is strong and robust, however it doesn't make tack removal as easy as it should be.
