Milwaukee48-22-0012 Compact Hand Operated Hack Saw w/ Tool-Less Blade Change (10 Inch Blade Included)

This is a great alternative to many of the other "compact" hack saws out there. This one doesn't cut differently than some of the cheaper alternatives out there, but it is far more substantial and comfortable to use. Typically I use these saws in tight spaces and the handle on this Milwaukee is far easier to grasp and use than its competition. There is no need to buy this model if you intend on cutting a couple of toilet bolts and throwing it indefinitely into the toolbox - you could get by much cheaper. However, if you are a DIY'er or a tradesman and want something that is comfortable for common use, I am not sure how it could get much better. On a side note, the blade clamp at the top of the saw rattles when it is tightened. This does not carry through to the grip on the blade which is nice and tight, but it is odd picking up the saw and hearing/feeling it rattle.

but it cuts old cpvc great too and came in quite handy for any rebuilds i have come up against. its ability to change blade sizes has really made it a go to tool for tight spaces as well.

Worked great for the project I needed it for! I tried for months getting the old hose connector off my spicket to connect a new hose. As a last ditch effort, I purchased this mini saw and wow, it did the trick! Wish I had found that YouTube video sooner that recommended this if all else failed. Being a woman, I was intimated by the thought of buying a sharp tool that I might inadvertently cut my arm off with! But it was easy and the size was perfect for getting into that very small area to cut to connector off.

I have mixed emotions. The feel and sturdiness is great and the blade holding is solid when using. It's ideal for sawing exposed bolts in a confined space.If you remove the blade so it isn't exposed in a tool pouch, it's finicky getting it back between the correct washers to lock down again. I now turn the blade around so that the teeth face the locking arm when carrying it in my bag. That works well and getting the blade reversed and back into cutting position seems to be getting easier. Probably a solid 4.5 stars overall.

This blade holder provides control where a full hacksaw frame too imprecise to use easily. I use it mostly for plastic tubing and pipe. I purchased extra fine blades with 36 teeth per inch for best results in these, more subtle applications.The tool provides super-fast blade changes, without any tools and seems strong enough to last a long time. The handle is very ergonomic as well.I'm very pleased with this product.

I was trying to change a broken toilet handle and the nut/bolt would not budge, almost like they were welded together. I was trying to figure out what to do and stumbled across this handy little hacksaw on Amazon. I had no idea they made them this small. This old lady was able to saw through the bolt in no time. Love it!

This is a particularly good brand of tool to purchase. The quality is outstanding and feels good in your hand. And if you need a small saw this is the one to buy.

This seems like a nice tool, but the blade that came in the package is beyond basic. I am trying to replace the wheels on my suitcase and bought this hacksaw to cut through the axles. While I was able to access the axle, the blade wore down and warped in minutes. So now I need to go to the hardware store, which I was trying to avoid.

Very happy with it - if used properly it is sturdy. The handle is comfy. Blade fixing is good and works well, just remember to sit blade between washer and frame. And - cutting teeth face forward
