Professional tips for using them
These pegs are great for securing all types of weed suppression fabric, and this is from someone who has been using them for some years. However, these pegs are a real pain to get out once they are driven through your fabric and into the earth. As such I strongly suggest you push a screwdriver (or other tool) into the earth first to ensue the path of the peg is clear of obstacles like stones. As strong as the pegs are at holding down fabric, they will bend if you try and push them into the ground where there are stones. In other words, don’t just try and whack them in with a mallet thinking they will go through anything…they won’t and you’ll be one peg down. Once they are in you’ll find they hold the fabric in place without an issue.Don’t be too sparing with any type of peg. If you leave more than four feet between pegs you’ll find the fabric will naturally expand over time and you’ll have the edges lifting. Putting in pegs every three feet prevents this stretching being an issue.PROS:• Well up to holding down even the thickest of materials• Easy to use if you make a guide hole first.CON:• Difficult to get out once they pierce the fabric• Can easily bend if they hit a stone

GARDEN GROUND COVER PEGS-100 PACK
I purchased 200 of these pegs a short time ago ,they are the best deal I have come across even the diy stores will charge £3.29 for only a pack of 20. which equals £16.45. for that price I received 200 pegs larger than the shop item , and I have now ordered another 300. I need them to peg down a lot of mulch at a local farm where I am looking after 181 christmas trees .They arrived loose in a large box ,so no small packets to undo ,perfect .They are perfect for the job. Since this review I have ordered another 300 Pegs from this supplier , and they have worked perfectly they go through mulch mat without the need to place a hole in the mat first good quality , and I have ordered another 200. but you pay for quality and they are good value , more than likely I will need more pegs from this supplier and I will not hesitate , to place an order , since its annoying to run out of quality items and only have expensive rubbish I previously purchased from a well know diy store ,before I found this supplier on Amazon .I have purchased about a 1000 of these pegs , I have found with smaller ,more expensive pegs bought from a D.I.Y Store those were Rubbish , These are a lot better quality hard plastic , wear gardening gloves to push them through Mulch Mat , good price ,for a good quality product.

Good grip in the soil
Some broke when putting in but may be more the soil condition than the pegs

Easy to use, great value, do what it says they do
These are amazing very good value for money, once in place they do not move.Only problem is mine arrived in a cardboard box and two of them were sticking out of box , sharp side up. Postman wasn't happy and advised me to be very careful. When I opened box there was no other package they were literally just thrown into box. I actually had to pull out the 2 that had stuck through the box. So very badly dangerously packed

good - but not indestructable
These are great value when you consider what you'd pay for 10 at a garden centre. They pretty much are what they say they are. The only little gem of info I can offer is to make sure you push them in without bending the shaft too much - because they'll snap in the middle if pushed too far. To my mind: that's just plastic for you. It has its benefits, and its drawbacks - just like any material. If you want absolute indestructibility - look elsewhere. My technique is to go as far as possible by hand and then gently apply a bit of foot pressure - making sure the peg is going in straight (I appreciate this sounds absurdly obvious ;O)I've used them all over my garden and much prefer them to steel varieties.

Do the job well
Arrived late, but I think that was down to Royal Mail. Easy to use and give a secure grip. BIG TIP-Use a knife to make a hole in the material before you hammer them in.

I used this down my allotment to pin down weed suppressing fabric. The go into the ground quite easily with the help of a mallet (althogh if the ground is hard and dry you may have trouble). Some of the pegs broke due to hitting stones as I was banging them in, but this is to be expected. One bag pinned down the suppressing fabric on my 5 rod plot. Once they are in they are hard to pull back our, they are very secure once in the ground - which is what you want.

Not great.
Son (who is proficient in DIY) found these difficult to hammer in. Ended up cutting the top off. They are hard to hammer down. You do get a lot for your money- but you need them, as some just don’t hammer down properly! He said once he took the head off and hammered the rest in of it in, it worked better.
