Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine, 1L - Specially Designed Car Polish Made Especially For Dark Coloured Cars, Leave Your Paintwork with a Smooth Even Gloss and Enriched Colour

this is what might be considered to be an unfair review. I have been using autoglym resin for 19 years, and found it to be a very good polish, on my previously red car, and now a black one. it does say on the bottle, if you want a very good shine to polish it twice, in succession which I have never done. I do however polish my car twice a year. I can't remember how I came about to see this polish, probably a recommendation from amazon, because I had looked at something else. anyway, I sent for this to give it a try. well seeing is believing. that's what my heading reads. I did polish my car with the resin only 3 weeks before, so to be fair, I did expect it to be nice and shinny. that is an under statement. my car although now 9 years old, now looks like a shinny mirror. the polish is easy to put on, and depending where you live and the temperature not too hard to get off. it was 25+ here in the shade when I did mine, and it wasn't easy. I normally do mine in april, and again at the end of October. it's too hot and too hard a job in between. I recommend cotton cloth not cotton/polyester ( a sleave cut, or ripped of a tee shirt) to put the polish on. divide the panels up into sections, ie my roof with sunroof one side, (1) the back to the sunroof, (2) back edge of sunroof down the side, and too middle of roof over screen. (3) repeat on the other side. so you can see, that I've split my roof into four sections. three sections for the bonnet, one part to the nearest screen wash. second part between screen washes. third part, screen wash to edge of bonnet. sides. (get the polish off) each section as you do it. don't wait too long. I use a cotton towel, larger than a tea towel (but not one, as they are too smooth) to get the polish off. I use a nice 100% cotton tee shirt to buff up the paint, after I have removed the polish, again as you go along. 2 important things. you will need a toothbrush, or similar to get polish off around rubber, windows etc. and don't forget, masking tape, a small piece to cover washers, front screen/ rear/ and headlamp washers. if you don't use the tape, at some point you will wish you had done. a very good product, as expected. easier to use in cooler weather.

Well, this product - like every Auto Glym I have tried so far - delivers, and how - OK, so my 2001 car is a little marked, especially on the bonnet from stone-chips, but this is a superb polish that makes the best of the midnight-blue colour. Why 4 stars then? The bonnet has taken me the best part of 40 minutes to apply the polish, wait for the - very quick - haze to form, and then do the buffing: the last was not as easy as many polishes I have used, but the result well worth while, and I do not begrudge the effort - just make a note NOT to take on too much - the advice on the container is to do one panel at a time ... and I am sure is well intentioned. But, persevere ... and reap the rewards - an excellent, deep gloss finish that makes the very most of your car's paint-work. Superb - and very very worth the effort!.As for the service and delivery - cannot fault it, as ever - parcel arrived promptly, well protected and undamaged - thank you.

Hard to buff off so you need to be very careful that you don't put too much on in the first place. Thinking of getting a polishing machine too buff it off.
