I'm rating this 5 stars as it was a great present for my 7 year old sister. She loves art and crafts things, and I knew this would be perfect for her. And I was right. It comes with loads of knitting wool thread and makes a few cool things. You might need to help start them off, but then once they get the hang of it they are kept busy for ages. I would recommend this for young children who like being creative, and who want to learn to knit easily, even you adults out there!! GREAT FOR FIRST TIME KNITTERS! :)

Loved that it wasn't plastic needles, they were the real deal. Lots of lovely balls of wool for practicing, and the added bonus of French knitting and pompom maker. My granddaughter will love it, instructions were a bit long winded for her age but I'll be helping her so that's okay.

I bought this for my 6 year old as she wanted to knit like her grandma. The kit includes everything you need to get started but the instructions were sooo complicated that I ended up watching an easy you tube tutorial to grasp the basics. Knitting is much easier than it looks in the instructions booklet!The pom poms tool was a hit with my daughter but knitting is still a bit too complex for her. I'd recommend this for slightly older kids.

Bought for 6y/o. She was over the moon with it and with a little guidance managed to make all by herself. Lovely gift.

Granddaughter enjoyed this she is left handed so it was not easy to learn but happy with this set
