Better than expected for money.
I purchased this after looking at much bigger blowers which looked difficult to carry and manoeuvre and based on the very good reviews. I am not disappointed, In fact it is even better than expected. Easily assembled, just need a pozidrive screwdriver for attaching main barrel. It is smaller and lighter than most units which is a real positive. It is a good robust design and certainly looks good for the job in hand. So far in the 4 weeks I have had it I have used 3 times mainly as a blower. The blower is powerful enough to easily blow large chip bark off the patio block paving back to the flower beds. In fact the first time used got a bit too close and my next door neighbour gained some extra chip bark. Also powerful enough to blow small stones back into the right beds. Leaves are easy to blow even when wet.I had not many leaves to vacuum but worked well and easy to unzip bag and empty to bin. Used it in my garage/workshop to vacuum up sawdust and leaves and did well. It is noisy and you will need an extension lead (6M supplied) but expect they all are.So overall an excellent blower and vacuum for the medium to small garden/patio great value for money.

It sucks, but in a good way.
I bought this leaf blower/vac a couple of years ago and have had a lot of good use of it. It's still going strong too. When we gave our garden a makeover I decided that to keep it neat I had to make life easy for myself, rather than trying to rake leaves out of every nook and cranny and off every surface they'd stuck themselves to when it was wet. Although there's just one speed which seems to be "fairly brisk" it's a well-chosen speed since it seem to suck leaves from beneath other plants without causing too much of a problem for the plants, and although blowing the leaves from flowerbeds gets everything agitated at least the leaves fly away to somewhere that I can vac them up from. It will even vac leaves off pebbled areas (fairly small pebbles too) but I wouldn't vac stuff up from a gravel surface because fine gravel would just get sucked up too. For surfaces like that it's best to blow the leaves away to some area that is grassed or paved, and vac the leaves from there when you've rounded them up.There's a direction lever on the side that allows you to switch between blower and vac settings - as often as not I use the blower to round up the leaves and debris, and once it is all gathered up I'll switch to the vac and go through the heap in no time. The bag fills fairly quickly if you're working on lots of leaves, despite the fact that the shredder tends to help compact the debris pretty well by chopping things up finely. The bag can get pretty heavy, and that's usually the first sign you get that it might need emptying. There's a shoulder strap that I recommend using because the increasing weight tends to creep up on you. There's a zipper around the outside edge of the bag to release the debris for binning or composting. It's a noisy beast but if you're efficient at the job the noise doesn't last too long and shouldn't irritate neighbours too much - it's not the kind of volume where you'd consider wearing ear defenders. It's more likely to bore you to death. The self-assembly of the various bits isn't onerous (the collection bag and the shoulder strap, basically, although the tubes also need screwing to the main mechanism first time around) and after that you're good to go. The mains cable is fairly long, but if your garden is more than about 35 feet in any direction from the socket, you'll find yourself using extension cables because this blower is mains-only.We have a "paperbark maple" tree that sheds sycamore-like seed (the "helicopter type") by the bucketload in autumn, and this gets those up a treat, although when they pass through the shredder in this vac they make one helluva racket, sounding like stones ricocheting around inside. Rest assured it deals with them just fine. It's also useful outside of autumn when you've been doing serious shrub or hedge trimming, letting you tidy up cuttings (provided they're small enough) in no time at all. It won't handle long twigs well (it's not designed to) and bulky stuff will probably just jam the mechanism - I've never tried that! With careful and appropriate use we've never had to unblock the mechanisms at all, so I can't say how easy it would be to dismantle the blower unit to get at and service the fan or the shredder, but at the price of a new one, there'd be precious little point in looking for spare parts should you ever need any.

Great value and good bit of kit!
I bought this after having some feedback from past customers from a question posted. We have a large Silver Birch tree and we are forever scooping up leaves but always struggling with all the tiny little catkin seeds on the lawn and decking. I bought this specifically for those annoying tiny bits and haven’t been disappointed.Have only used it once so far and I was suitably impressed, especially for how much we paid (£33 on offer - barg!).It’s quite heavy but not overly so, but would recommend using the shoulder strap if you are using for a chunk of time, as aches the arms after awhile otherwise! It is easy to use and did a great job and pulling the flaky seed bits up out of the decking grooves. It didn’t get everything, but if I had persisted a little while longer (the kids put paid to that) I think it would’ve pretty much got most of it - but I was really surprised how much it did suck up given the width of the nozzle at the end. I haven’t yet used the blower mode yet but I don’t anticipate that being any less useful. It was an absolute doddle to put together and took me less than 10 minutes with a screwdriver.Highly recommend if you are wanting a basic blower/vac without wanting to break the bank!
