With a tuning spring, the Nerf N-Strike Longshot takes the step from a mediocre blaster to THE Nerf blaster par excellence. Anyone who owns a longshot has a piece of Nerf history. The first clip system blaster ever, which is why it is also the first carrier to be labeled “CS-6”. The Nerf N-Strike Longshot CS-6 and the Nerf Zombie Strike Longshot CS-12 are the same except for the color scheme and the accessories - the spring offered here fits both versions. It is not uncommon to hear from newcomers who take a long shot due to their excellent reputation and are then a little disappointed with their performance. The reputation of the Longshot does not come from its original performance, but from its potential - with a replacement spring, hardly any other blaster comes close to the good piece. Performance gain that is really worth it To get the spring, we have to assemble the assembly around the thick orange tube remove around. The spring is in this tube. Simply remove the two screws on the back of the tube and the plunger and spring can be removed. You have to defeat another screw on the front of the plunger - and the spring can be replaced.

More power!
My longshot used to be a toy. Now it's the kind of toy that can't be operated near glass objects. This really has increased the power output of the product. It's a little difficult to fit as it involves taking the toy right apart, loosing a lot of bits as it explodes, cramming them in with some care and then putting them back in.But once it's done, it's a major upgrade. Darts fly much much further now and my combat prowess is much increased

Stopping power
This has radically improved my childish purchase and put a stop to the household nerf war quite quickly. It has doubled the range and impact of the darts. Easy install on my sniper, managed to avoid full disassembly. Would recommend keeping some grease to reseat the chamber and plunger properly afterwards although mine did work without I feel it would further improve the result.

This is my sons, honest. He modified a Nerf Longshot using this more powerful spring. It really does work, but don't dry fire the gun too often (I'm advised).

Did not fit cs6 longshot. No good
Arrived optimistic but once in the guts of the cs6- the spring rubs against the tube and will not work.Can be compressed by cocking the gun but will not extend back.

Not great
Powerful spring but the spring was not the correct spring which in turn did not fit and now means I have a useless spring lying about which I paid £8 for.

Upgrading Nerf Longshot CS 6
The spring works really well but you have to fit a stronger trigger spring as well and thus did not come with it.
