Nice tach
Works as it should. Only complaint is the response is just a little sluggish but not enough to cause any problems. After all when you're boating you're more or less at a consistent rpm. Not reving up and down like a car. Easy install and fit my 1999 bass tracker perfectly.

Nice Light But A Useless Tachometer
The first Artilaura tachometer I received turned out to be non-functional. The digital hour meter did not turn on, the needle didn’t move and even the backlight didn’t illuminate. I figured it could happen with anything so I returned it for replacement. The second one I got did turn on, the needle swings and backlight illuminates (I connected the wires the same way both times if you were wondering if it was not hooked up correctly.) The needle however did not provide any meaningful information. It would move back and forth to the limits of the gauge without any change in engine speed. I attempted to calibrate the needle with the button provided for the purpose. Sometimes I could see an effect however most often the needle would resume it’s meaningless swinging back and forth or move to either extreme (0 or 6,000 RPM) and stay there for a while before resuming it’s meaningless movements. The backlight color change function with the calibration button did work flawlessly, for what it is worth. My final criticism is that the connection provided to this tach is very light gauge wire, approximately 22 ga. I am guessing. I made the connections using crimp-on bullet connectors. This was not ideal because standard, common crimp on connectors do not hold well with such thin wires. I would have preferred threaded posts or spades on the back of the gauge so the connections were tighter, more durable, neat and clean. I regret buying this tachometer and wasting so much time installing, testing and attempting to calibrate it. If you are maga I would recommend that you get it because the color changing light looks good and I think that would be enough to make you happy.

Excellent tach gauge
Works very well on my Mercruiser 3.0L 4-cyl motor. The instructions are not native English so they have to be decoded, but they are workable. My unit is perfectly accurate after configuration (it shows RPM accurately when tested with a known electronic-ignition RPM signal source). I hope the unit lasts because I like it.

Easy to install Tachometer
Tachometer for a 1986 Boston Whaler 17 ft Montauck with 90 HP Johnson. Fit the old dash opening perfectly with a very slight snug fit. Installation was a breeze. Maybe 10 minutes start to finish. Calibration was very easy as the manual was easy to read and easy to understand. The tach works perfect. I like to use the tach when I pull the grandkids on wakeboards or knee boards. Great tachometer!!

Not Terrible. Not Great
I chose this item because it was LED backlit and inexpensive. It works, it looks nice. But... It's prone to fogging up on the inside of the glass bezel with moisture, which does not bode well for use on a boat. The other issue is that I still cant figure out how to calibrate it to my engine. RPMs read either too high or too low. Very confusing.

Read this review!
Read this review for proper installation. After installing hold down the mode button for 5-6 seconds. A screen will display with numbers for sensitivity settings. Hold the button down to increase the numbers, keep the motor running and watch until the tach needle slowly reaches the actual RPM. The needle will become more sensitive when reaching the optimal range. Double tap the mode button and then hold to lower the numbers if you’ve gone too high, do the same to also raise the value. Here is the con, when holding the mode button, after 5-6 seconds it will rapidly raise or lower the numbers, making it incredibly easy to overshoot the value you are trying to reach. You have to basically hold to raise and lower the numbers and let go every few seconds so it doesn’t overshoot. After reaching the best setting just let off the button and will it automatically exit setup.

Looks nice, but not do a good job
It starts with a manual that only works for people who don't need it, its useless for amateurs, putting the proper settings in is possible but complicated. One everything works, it is not precise. It does have fancy lights.

Does not display instantly. Lags way too much for street drag applocation. Maybe mine is defective. Return started
