Comfy for baby, a life saver for you!
I used this first when my daughter was two months old to fly back home from Beijing via Dubai to the UK to meet her grandparents for the first time. This little mattress was a life saver as I was travelling alone with the baby and my five year old and it freed up my hands for helping my son.The mattress is lightweight and thick enough to provide padding to protect the baby from the seat belt buckles and the arm rests between the seats. It's simple to put on the baby and makes it much easier to transport baby from your lap to a bassinet and visa versa during turbulence when the baby cannot be in the bassinet.I flew with Emirates and on all four flights to and from the UK re flight assistants commented on how useful the mattress was and I had no problems with being allowed to use it.I subsequently used it three more times when my daughter was six months old with Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia and it was permitted on all of these flights too. It's simple to roll up when the flight is over and slip back into the bag provided. An added bonus is the clip on the carry bag as it allows you to clip it to a carry-on bag or onto a baby carrier. As it's so light it doesn't add any weight. This is a fantastic product for anyone flying long haul with a baby and who wants both of you to have a comfortable ride.

Worth buying for the plane.
I bought this for my 4 month old on the plane. I used it whilst the baby was asleep. It kept her in place and saved my arms even though it’s not completely supportive. I recommend this to others. It’s worth the money even though I’ll probably only use it the once. It got quite warm using it but baby was comfy.

Went well for a first time user
we used it for our current trip and it went well. It's comfortable and our baby slept like a log in the plane. Very handy to just clip it on our carry-on bag when we travel as it's light and easily folded back into the cover when you're done. i find it's really great for a baby less than a year old or up to a certain length. Our baby is now 8 months old and she's around 80cm. She just fit into this travel mattress. i wish it's a tad bigger so she can still use it comfortably when she's 1.5 years old or before she has her own seat in the plane (2 years old and above). Let's see if she can still fit in when she's 1.5 years old as we have another trip to go.

Works well for baby to nap in an empty seat.
We used the SkyBaby for our first roundtrip flight around 7 hours each way with our 2.5 month old. For the outbound flight we were not in a basinet row but luckily ended up with an empty seat. For the inbound flight we did have a basinet to use. The SkyBaby did provide a cushion between the baby and my seatbelt and hard armrest during take off and landing. It was slightly awkward to hold, the most comfortable position was with my hand slipped between the baby and the back of the SkyBaby. It was fantastic to use outside of the product description, buckled into the empty seat. The baby napped comfortably along the empty seat buckled in between each travel companion. With so much gear to take for a baby on a long haul flight, if you are allocated a basinet seat I would recommend skipping the SkyBaby and opting to fold up the airplane blanket to cushion the baby in your arms for take off and landing. However if you do not get a basinet but do get an empty seat, the SkyBaby is fantastic.

Great idea but overpriced and poorly designed !
Travel bag it came in has started to rip at the point where you close it as the seams are not strong enough, after one trip !And it is described as being for babies, well ours is 9 months old and it simply was not long enough, if only the designer had thought this through and added 6 more inches to the length it would of worked. Overall an expensive product, poorly designed, which is a shame as its a great concept.

Not bad for every day use even if flight attendant tells me no in flight..
Love it. We maybe fly in May or June, searched online for stuff to use on flight. Will see how it goes when on board. So far used since arrive. My baby is very colicky, never slept in bed properly since born, always wakes up once put into bed. I bought this sky baby because i saw other ppl comments saying this toy can move baby to bassinet without waking up baby. I now use sky baby everyday! Since arrival till now using it every day and night, baby is able to sleep on his own (guess the design gives a snugg feeling) didn't wash yet, hope will not get any skin issue later.By the way, it's a bit big(wide) for my baby right now, he's 11 weeks and 7.6kg(not small baby at all), but i cover him with blanket, then close the sky baby button, which works just fine.. anyway it's not difficult to sew one or two buttons on it is necessary.I saw another customer say it might be hot for baby, i don't think so, as it has sort of mesh net surface which makes it well vented.. and there's always strong a/c on flight..Used for a week now, the head part got a squeezed dent as my baby's head was resting there.By the way, love the handy bag, it can easily attach to luggage as well, nice design.

Worth every (very cheap) penny
Aamazing, brilliant, awesome product. I was a little sceptical about this but thought i'd give it a try as we were flying with the little one (aged 4 months at the time) on a packed commuter flight where we knew we wouldn't have much space. The product is much smaller than you think when rolled up and easily fitted in the bottom of a standard backpack. We flew easy jet and the steward's were really impressed with the mattress. The little one fed on takeoff and then slept for the rest of the hour flight and coming back she settled onto it and slept before the engines even got turned on and didn't wake up until we had to move her for getting off the plane despite a noisy stag party behind us! Can't recommend enough for flights, especially where you won't get a sky cot.The mattress just made the flight so much more comfy for myself and the little one.
