Amiibo 'Collection Pikmin' - Pikmin

While you can totally play this game without this amiibo, this is the most useful amiibo to have for the game (more useful than the olimar amiibo, which also works for this game). The reason for this is that the pikmin amiibo actually lets you use it m,ore times a day to earn more of the daily "sparklium" (the currency used in this game). You can earn sparklium without it, but this amiibo will make doing so faster, and therefore easier to get through the game than it otherwise would have. (you can use other amiibos within this game btw, including many non-pikmin themed amiibos, however, you can only use the non pikmin ones once per day, whereas the actual pikmin amiibo you can use several times a day).So in order of usefulness for this game, it ranks like this:1) Pikmin amiibo2) Olimar amiibo3) Any other amiibo

As an avid amiibo collector, and having scoured the continents to make sure I have a complete collection, I can honestly say this is probably my absolute favourite so far. The build quality is fantastic and the choice to use a soft plastic as opposed to a hard one makes a lot of sense.It probably helps that Pikmin are ridiculously cute!
