Q: Please can anyone tell me what the difference between the different types of magnesium are? Such as malate, citrate, eap etc??

Hi Laura, Malate is especially used for fibromyalgia and is more expensive than citrate. The most expensive is L-Threonate, (a little too expensive in my opinion), but is the only magnesium that crosses the brain barrier. I have tried all of them. Do not bother with Oxide magnesium, it does not work at all as the body will not easily absorb the magnesium properly. The best is L-Threonate, then Malate, then Citrate.

Q: How big are the capsules?

The capsules are the smallest that I have come across. I have difficulty swallowing some tablets but these go down easily. I was really surprised by the answer that they are 1.8 cm long and I have just checked and it is correct. 5 mm across. As I say, they are the easiest to swallow magnesium tablets/capsules that I have taken. They also are a wonder for nerve problems and good for fibromyalgia pain.
