Previously I used a cheap USB handlebar mounted charger from China bought on eBay which caused my bike to run unevenly at low revs whenever it was on. Sometimes causing slow speed stalls which almost resulted in dropping my bike. This charger is not causing any electrical problems, the bracket and fixings are strong and made of quality materials. The charger and green light automatically shut off when the cap is placed over the USB sockets (some kind of magnetic relay switch I guess because the cap has a metal washer embedded in it. Great buy - I'll be buying another one for my Wife's bike as soon as she needs one.

This is both good quality and value for the money. I have fitted this to my over dash mount and wired direct to my battery. Although it has internal fusing I did wire it through an additional in line fuse at the same time ("Bib & braces"). No need to worry about a power switch as the covers magnetic switch does turn it off as advertised. It appears to be very solid and well made with a screw clamp versus a finger type which I feel is better for security of the product. This also has enough amps for my sat nav and phone to keep charged at the same whilst on a ride. This is definitely fit purpose and i am more than happy to recommend this to fellow bikers.

Very nice piece of kit. Looks like it belongs on the bike, not just a cheap add on.Functionally, well thought out. It won't drain the battery when not in use, as the magnetic switch turns it off.Supplied with plenty of cable for correct routing, and simple to fit.I use it for powering my iphone which I use for sat nav. The powerful app I use can quickly drain your battery, so this is a must.And two usb ports, so, I can also charge my bluetooth headset for longer runs.

The magnetic switch works like a charm but it's a shame it's not fast charge compatible. Installation is pretty straight forward and it looks good as well.

i was a bit sceptical prior to ordering this unit as some of the reviews i had read on other similar items complained about the function and battery drain but to cut a long story short i received it today and fitted it to my suzuki volusia 800 so i went on a good bike ride while using my phone as a sat nav and plugged into the usb and it works great plus the magnetic lid is also a great feature as when it is closed it cuts off the power so for the most important thing for me is (no battery drain) everything is fine and works well and i would highly recommend this seller!!

With my experience with this item it is no good I had it installed on my bike by a friend who is an electrician. The item lights up and says its charging when I connect phone but doesn't seem to pull enough power from the battery to acctully charge as my phone on stand by doing nothing connected to this is not charging the battery is going down not up I have tested my phone and cable with other devices for charging and work just fine but not with this. So far waste of money.

Very easy to fit, did exactly as it said on the tin. Used on my motorcycle on a tour in Europe no problems at all very pleased with it.

I got this so I can use my phone as a GPS while I’m riding. Being on charge means the screen stays on. Easy to install straight to the battery terminals. Closing the protective cover turns off power so the battery isn’t being drained between uses.
