WOW !! Unique Norwegian food product available in the UK !
Please can I give this product ten stars ?????? This famous Norwegian "brown cheese" is one of those foods which you will either love or hate. Such an unusual texture and appearance and very difficult to describe the taste. Some say more fudge-like than cheese, as it is very sweet and luxuriously rich. I had only ever seen and eaten this cheese when in Norway so was delighted to see it available for sale on Amazon. What amazing service from the suppliers, too! The cheese arrived in a very secure cardboard box with two chiller packs which had kept it at a perfect temperature. I ordered it on a Monday and it was here by Wednesday. So compliments and thanks to the ( British ) suppliers for that. The cheese also had a very long "Sell by" date but that wasn't really necessary, because of the speed at which the cheese was consumed! I can highly recommend the product and the suppliers. One word of warning - it's one of those foods which can become almost addictive. So if you want to try it, purchase yours now, before I buy up all the stocks of it !

Great cheese BUT
Nothing wrong with the product other than the price: 250g packs are £4.50 at Waitrose. You can get four packs for the price of these two and, still save money. Yet another Amazon seller who overprices.

This cheeese is so good if yu have never tried it you really are missing out. The portion size is massive so would last you forever and the price is second to none.

Considerate seller
This cheese is currently one of my favourites and I was happy to see I could buy it through Amazon. Its just a lovely fudgy flavour, different from the strong cheese I normally favour but it compliments a cheese plate. It goes lovely with a Colston Bassett, crackers and some onion marmalade. Unfortunately, I ordered it right before the North East had its annual 2 day heatwave 🤦🏻♀️ Product arrived a little later than expected so I was a little concerned. I emailed the seller who put my mind to rest. I plan to order again very very soon! 😋

Simply delicious
I first tasted this cheese on a river cruise in the region where it was first made and I loved it. It is sweet and quite heavy so you do not need too much at one time, but it is simply delicious. The order was fulfilled very quickly and packaged well - two pieces individually wrapped and could easily be given to friends as presents. At first it looked expensive. but it will last me a long time and when you think of the expensive cheese platters you get at the end of a meal out or in a plowman's lunch in a pub, sometimes of inferior quality, it does not seem to be too dear.

this is cheese like no other
Whilst working in Norway, I developed a strange addiction to Norwegian cheese. Sadly, Sainsburys and Tesco don't normally stock this, but do carry Jarlsburg. However, this is cheese like no other, as it is strangely sweet and has the texture of toffee. If you do decide to try it, a must have is a cheese slicer that produces slices a couple of a couple of mm thick. This is not a cheese that you would eat great lumps of, but needs to be thinly sliced on buttered bread as you would with Marmite. Having tried it out on friends, like Marmite, they either love it or hate it. It is delicious, try it.
