I WORKED on it and it's Working Well.
I installed this 25660 | 4021-732 Pilot Assembly on a Heatilator Novus Series 30" natural gas fireplace. This requirement came due to the pilot light not staying on. This is the third time in 9 years that I've had to address this with abrasive cleaning of the Thermopile, Thermocouple and igniter as well as blowing out the supply line. This round of attention didn't get things working so it was time to go with a new replacement. The part arrived when expected, found to be packed well and in perfect condition. The part presents well with a bit of a shortcoming on the igniter but a very good upgrade on the wiring shield. To be clear, the igniter is working fine I would just recommend caution when you find yourself having to clean it in the future. If you're working on a fireplace like mine or close to it you won't need to reinvent the wheel to get things lined up. It fit in the firebox the same as the old one and the bracket screw holes were appropriate. Having read a lot of reviews before buying, I've seen quite a few referring to this repair as "quick and easy". Again, if you are working on the same model as mine or close to it I don't think you'll find this exercise to be "quick and easy" at all. Of course, the pilot light itself and the seller have nothing to do with that. To summarize, there was little or nothing that didn't have to be removed to get this done. Naturally the front glass had to come off as did the louvers, the logs and their rack, the lava rocks and vermiculite poured into the openings and had to be cleaned up and reclaimed, the gas line fittings are virtually inaccessible without removing the control valve, there's no point in going through all this without replacing the ember wool and the opening below the pilot light assembly that the lines and wires go through needs to be caulked with fire block (I used 3M Red) and getting the existing fire block removed so you can pull the old assembly out is no day at the beach. This job is a bit of a chore. To clarify, it is certainly doable for the handy person and no sophisticated tools are needed. If you're looking to order this part you've likely already done the diagnosis and that's really all the required brain work, the rest is bull work. So how about some good news. All this effort is indeed rewarded by a part that does what it's supposed to and just flipping a switch to get the fireplace going now without having to restart the pilot light each time is very satisfying. The only functional difference between this new part and the old one that I've found is that I'm having to hold the pilot light switch in a bit longer now after igniting. The real good news is I only have to do this ONCE per season so I can live with holding that switch in an extra 15 or 20 seconds. The job is a pain in the neck but I'm glad I did it and I'm glad I purchased this one. Recommended. Enjoy!

Excellent OEM Heatilator Pilot Assembly 4021-732
The pilot light would not stay on because the thermalator wasn't working. After ordering the wrong part the first time, I figured I'd just get the whole pilot assembly because the original was over 20 years old!! I ordered it in the evening and it arrived the next morning. Installed into my thermolator natural gas heater and it's been flawless. The hardest part is the disassembly to get access to the parts. Also remember to get yourself some thermal paste to fill in the hole between the pilot light wires pilot gas line. I used 3M Red Fire Barrier CP 25WB Plus Sealant

Perfect for fixing my Heatilator fireplace - Lasted 1yr 11 months
Updated Review as of 11/6/26 - Lasted 1year 11 months. Pilot light stays on but fire won't light. Cleaned thermopile & Thermocouple but still will not light. I suppose some people may have better luck depending on how much they use their fireplace. We used our a lot so maybe contributed to it failing sooner? Original Review: Perfect replacement for my Heatilator indoor fireplace. I couldn't keep my pilot light on even after cleaning the individual parts so I replaced the whole assembly and now it works perfect. One important note is that even though this looked like an exact replacement (which it mostly is) the nut for the gas connector is shorter so it was difficult to get it tightened. Just something to be aware of.
