and made for great discussions as a family
This book captured the attention of my kids ages 12, 13, 14, and made for great discussions as a family.. The following review is from my 12-year-old, when asked to write about what she learned in studying this book. This speaks volumes:This year we read a book called Seven Steps to Hearing Godโs Voice, and I feel like I got a lot out of it and now have a closer relationship with God. Through this experience, I have found things that I wish to more thoroughly witness with God. But these are the things that really stood out to me and that I think are the things that I really understand more than before. One of the things I feel like I learned was God is Lord of Creation. We are not. God does not exist to help navigate us to where we want to go. He is the one who leads us through our own adventures. He does not co-pilot with you. This stood out to me because it really connects to how sometimes I try to tell God to do something, or I donโt ask him and think that I can do it all on my own. I plan to put this learning experience into my life by trusting God to do what he wants with my life and not trying to fix my problems the way I would, and just ask God for the help that I need - all the time. The most valuable lesson of them all that I learned was because God is God, he can speak to his people however he chooses, and that is not our choice. But we do make the decision to watch and listen for him and to be ready to do what he tells us. This seems important to me because sometimes I think I watch and listen like God wants us to, but in truth I am not normally watching and listening to see God influencing others through me. I will now act upon this by starting to really be aware when I think God is trying to do something with my life or โother people around meโsโ lives. Though this is the most important thing I learned while reading, I am still yearning to learn more about God and the different gifts he has showered upon us.

Engaging writing makes this a perfect book for anyone
I gave this to my tween daughters to read and they absolutely loved reading it. The writing is so engaging that the information has stuck with them and continues to challenge them. Often, we are reading through the bible and they will stop me to tell me how this book explained this passage or the funny story that was in the book about this bible story. A great book to get your younger teen or tween interested in reading the Bible for themselves and figuring out how to follow God with their life.

great informational and devotional
7 Steps to Knowing and Doing the Will of God of God by Tom Blackaby, Mike Blackaby, and Daniel Blackaby is an excellent informational book because of it's clear writing style, effective descriptions, practical content, and interesting incidents. Easily explaining a true scriptural view through the use of seven "steps" makes this book understandable and relatable. Everything taught throughout is conveniently applicable to everyday life spiritually, physically, mentally, and verbally. Not only do Tom, Mike, and Daniel really speak to the readers with Biblical verses and references, but they also use interesting examples taken from their own life experiences to illustrate a Godly point of view.

Well-written
If you are familiar with the Experiencing God study/book by Dr. Henry Blackaby you will know the basic premise of this book. But this one is geared towards teenagers, and it is sure to be popular with them because of the way it is laid out, the humorous stories, the great graphics and the easy to read style. The Blackabys are likable authors. Good job.

Excellent book!
I bought this book for my 12 year old grandson. I enjoyed it as much as he did. Must read teens who want to develop/deepen their relationship with God.

Great for Students
Great version of "Experiencing God" for students. The authors teach the 7 steps by telling of experiences from their own life and how each step relates to pursuing God's will in every aspect of life.

For my boys
I am almost done reading this. I love the ease that this devotional relates to teens. The concepts are the same, but it is definitely written in their language.

Good book!
I went through the workbook many years ago that was written by their father and I really enjoyed it. We like this more up to date version that is geared towards teens. It is challenging and thought provoking and calls you to take action in experiencing God.
