Porcini Mushrooms
These are a good quality porcini, great for adding umami flavour to a dish. I buy whichever size pack is best value, generally cheaper than in shops. I like the jar packaging as it keeps them dry. Then buy packs to refill.

Good value but note the mix
Came quickly and good value for money - big jar - but note contents are 50% cheaper oyster, 40% shiitake and only 10% porcini mushrooms, these proportions are not stated on the sale page; guess I was hoping for a better balance of the tastier variety. Overall though 4 stars justified.

A jar full of deliciousness!
I bought three jars, one for each of my sons and one for myself. We love cooking with dried porcini, soups, sauces and particularly risotto, delicious. Feature in French (cep), Italian (porcini) and Polish (pravdzivki) cooking. When dried the flavour is very intense so only a few are needed to flavour a dish. This size jar will be good for quite a while.(as long as jar is kept tightly closed and dry) as it would take a fair size basket of the fungi to produce a jar full of finally dried mushrooms. Used to pick and dry my own but now happy to get a jar full of the delicious fungi. Try not to take too strong a wiff when you open the jar as the aroma is very, very intense but far more subtle when used in your dishes.

Not enough porcini
Not the highest quality mushrooms (I would want more of an umami hit - there's not actually many porcini in it) but you get absolutely loads.

Strong with long sell by date
I bought these dried mushrooms for the house as I hate paying £4 for a 30g bag for mushrooms from The supermarket. I used the usual amount I usually use when making mushrooms risotto but they were really strong I won’t have to use allot next time. We put 4 or 5 mushrooms in a stock every time or spaghetti bolonase when I runout of fresh mushrooms. They have a good date on the as well our tub has a 18 month sell by date on it . Anyway they are good quality dried mushrooms that pack a punch of flavour

Awful.
I've just no idea how these have such good reviews. We love mushrooms and eat a lot of them. A lot of our recipes include mushrooms especially wild ones. These are just awful, they are tasteless and chewy, they give minimum mushroom flavour. For months prior we were buying Tesco frozen wild mushroom mix and thought these would be better quality and also easier for us as we don't usually shop at Tesco, but they're far inferior and actually work out more expensive by weight than the Tesco ones!I'd really not recommend them. If you want a decent mushroom flavour and texture then either grow your own or buy frozen/fresh. Frozen wild mushrooms are particularly flavoursome.

Very tasty and a good size pack
These are very tasty and easy to use. I've also made ground mushroom powder with them to put in my soups etc. The plastic jar keeps them nice and dry and doesn't look out of place on my work top. I love these and I don't think they are too expensive for the size of the container.

Love the mushrooms but the PET container is a concern
We absolutely enjoyed the mushrooms and are about to purchase our second pot. However, I have a slight concern- the container is made from PET (No. 1) due to its nature as it can easily leak to its content as time goes, therefore, it has been named as food unfriendly plastic. It takes me quite a while to finish the mushrooms, it might be a good idea if the company would consider to change to a safer container or we, as consumers, have to find a large container that is safe enough to store the mushrooms.
