Just what you need for that weekend car, that sits around idle for several weeks
Bought as I have a small 2 seater sportscar, that does not get the use it should and therefore the battery can go flat if not used for a couple of months. looked a many and decided on this one, not the cheapest, but it did offer me a 15 % off voucher. Ordered with prime and it arrived the next day. I followed the instructions to charge and then read through the instructions twice before using it, it had been sitting charged for a couple of weeks when I went to use my car this weekend, and surprise surprise the car would not start, so here is my chance to see how good the purchased is, was it worth the money ?? I popped the bonnet and connected the leads, pressed the boost button on the charger , got back in the car and turned the key, car started with no hassle. For me that is a success. I did notice that the booster pack now shows 75 % charge, which is what i would expect after a jump start , so will charge again before putting it away. Small, powerful and easy to use, very pleased with my purchase

Excellent purchase
We have had this pack for 1 year now. We have a T6 campervan which my other half keeps forgetting to turn off the fridge in when we leave it. We have therefore had to jump start it a few times. My neighbour has also borrowed a few times. Always works great.Only negative is that to charge it you need to use the supplied charger and not a universal one, but there is no way to store them together.Overall, really good battery life, easy to use, sturdy and been a great addition to the van for the last year.

Excellent Product
Excellent jump starter. I have a 2021 Toyota Yaris and being a hybrid it has a small 12V battery. I find that if the car hasn't been used for about 4 days, I get the message 'Battery Low State' and the brake pedal pulses and the hybrid system will not start. First time I called the AA. So I purchased this jump starter. It sat in the boot of my car for about 3 months and then I had the same problem. Used the jump starter and I was up and running within a few minutes. Great bit of kit, and holds plenty of charge for months. Used it again today (2nd January 2024) to jump start my Toyota hybrid as battery was too low after the xmas period. Such a great piece of kit and holds a full charge for well over 6 months if not used. Well worth investing in one.

Brilliant booster box
Brilliant booster box starts up my tractors 4x4 pick up and atvs! The light on front is broke because it tipped over and broke it, another problem that I found was not with the unit directly but the charger lead it is an American type charging lead wich I had lost tried contacting maxtools directly for a replacement charger lead they ignored me contacted cable specialist in the uk they didn't have anything after finding a charging lead in USA wich was only £7 but with tax and everything else with importing it into the country would have been around £30 fortunately I found the charger lead in the end, so as booster boxes go this is amazing will booster vehicles small to large no bother at all but if somthing goes wrong you will hear nothing back from max tools.

The must-have for emergency use.
MAXTOOLS JS500-UK 2200 A 22 Ah, Professional Portable Jump Starter for Cars and Vans, Suitable for Diesel and Petrol Engines, with LED Torch, USB Port and Starter Cables £149.99This is a must-have device for the winter months; only a few days after purchase I needed it to start our car that had a battery problem, which it solved in seconds flat. It is simple to use and has a built-in charger you connect to the mains using the supplied kettle lead. No more looking for the charger when the jump starter needs charging. While charging, you can display the level of charge by pressing a button to illuminate charge-level led lights on the front of the Jump Starter. The instructions say that it is safe to leave to on-charge permanently, but I found this was not necessary. After both starting our car and plugging-in a tyre compressor to the built-in cigar lighter socket to blow up the car tyres, the unit was still displaying full-charge on completion. Looking at the unit now, a month after purchase, it is still showing full charge. The unit securely stores the jump leads either side of the unit to ensure they do not touch, and it is compact enough to carry in the boot of the car. It also features a switchable bright Led light to assist with any usage during darkness.Overall, every car owner should own this must-have device. It would even be useful in the home during a power failure as you can use the cigar lighter socket to power lights, and the installed USB socket to power or recharge your phone in an emergency.I unhesitatingly recommend the purchase of this Jump Starter to others.

Great jump starter
I bought this to use on my camper van as I keep it in storage and sometimes over the winter the battery needs a boost to start the engine. It works a treat. I fully charged when I first received it, and it keeps the charge very well, even after using a few times. It is heavy, so you don’t want to carry it too far. The leads are long enough to use on my van battery inside the cab. Not sure where I would stand it if I used it to charge my car battery under the bonnet. The light could be handier, as it only points up or down, not side to side, and you need to keep your finger on the button to keep it on, it isn’t an on it off switch.

Does not work. Period.
Price was good, reviews were good, specifications were good, so I bought three. One each for our two cars and one spare. It was not long before I needed to try it. The car internal light had been left on and the battery was down to 10 volts. The engine management system on our Subaru Outback wants 12 volts or it will not even attempt to start the engine.I put on one of the powerpacks. The engine still would not start. With the powerpack connected, the voltage had only gone up to 11 volts so the engine management system still would not start the car.An increase in battery voltage of one volt means the powerpack is only putting out about ten amps, nothing like the 800 amps or peak 2400 amps claimed. It is not as though this one was faulty. I had three of them and the result was the same with all three.A total scam. Don't bother with this one.
