Wonderful Flashlight
Fantastic build quality and functionality. The multi-function button and outstanding warranty are value-added bonuses. I also love that this flashlight takes standard AAA batteries, enabling quick restoration of full power when the installed set is finally spent.

Well built and works great
This light has 3 settings for brightness and the brightest is very bright and carries a long distance. The focus of the beam is easily changed as well. I would recommend this.

P7 vs T7
I bought a T7 about two years ago. It is perfect for use in a car: compact with an adjustable lens and two light settings (the light is so bright that the dim setting is essential for viewing objects closer than about 6 feet). The specs say there are three light settings but apparently one of the three is obtained by pressing the switch without clicking it - to my eyes there is not much difference between this setting and the clicked-on high setting.Recently I bought a P7. The official specs are identical for the T7 and the P7 except for small differences in size. If you read a little more, it is stated that the T7 ("tactical") has diamond-patterned knurling, supposedly for better grip, whereas the P7 has square knurling, for a more comfortable grip. While the style of knurling is as stated, in fact the P7 has better grip in my opinion (the depth of the knurling appears to be more aggressive for the P7).The light characteristics of the T7 are the same as the P7, except for small differences in the light distribution pattern (neither is perfectly uniform). Otherwise they have identical brightness and an identical switching pattern. The T7 still works perfectly after 2 years and I expect the P7 will perform equally well.So why is there a T7 and a P7 if they are practically identical? I have no clue.

P 7 Review
I still own a P 7 that I purchased in Australia in 2007. It still works fine and have used that flashlight as a law enforcement officer most of that time. My first P 7 has scratches, abrasions, the paint has worn off in spots, the batteries had corroded on more than one occasion and I think it would be fair to say that it has gone thru an amazing amount of abuse and still works like a champ. This new P 7 is the next level. Very nicely crafted and the brightness of the light is beyond anything I expected. I always felt that I might of just got lucky with the quality of my first P 7, now I know it was just the right choice when I purchased both of these. Much respect to the folks at LED Lenser, great product.

Another great flashlight from LED Lenser
This makes my fifth LED Lenser. I started with the little V2. I loved that so much, I got another V2. Then one got stolen and I just had to get another one. It's a little, fit in the palm of you hand, simple on/off flashlight, great for your pocket and extremely bright for its small size. I also have the M14, which is my favorite flashlight of all time. It's more of a full size flashlight, great features, bright enough to burn your eyes out of your head (or light up things really far away). The P7 is sorta right between these two models both size and feature-wise. It has three power modes, though switching between them is not as slick as the M14. The M14 switch uses full clicks to turn it on and off, which is very nice. If it's on, one full click turns it off, no matter what mode it's in. Half clicks switch between modes and the series of modes is configurable. With the P7, the web site talks about full and half clicks to switch between modes, but I found that a little misleading. I expected something similar to the M14 switch, but you can't switch between high and low modes with half clicks. You can engage the boost mode with a half click, but when you let go, it goes back into whatever mode it was in. That's a pretty handy feature actually, but to switch between high and low, you have to do a full click. Unfortunately, this also means, if you're in high, you have to full click twice to turn it off. That's not my favorite feature, but considering the price of this thing, I guess I shouldn't expect a switch quite as sophisticated as the M14. The other comparison to the M14 is the focusing beam. The focus mechanism is very smooth. When the head is pushed all the way out it focuses to a nice tight spot, and when pushed in, it makes a nice even, wide beam The only real difference between the P7 and M14 is that the M14 has a twist lock, so you can lock in any focus position. The P7 has no lock and it's easy to bump and change focus. Another great feature is that it runs on AAA batteries. I'm not a fan of special batteries. I use the eneloop rechargeable, which work great in these flashlights, but I also like knowing I could just use regular alkalines in a pinch. Overall, for the price, this is a fantastic flashlight. If Santa is reading this, for my next flashlight, I would like the LED Lenser M14X please. It's just like the M14 but puts out 650 lumens using 4-AA batteries! That's like full on face melting technology, arc of the covenant type stuff! Look away!

Very powerful, not very large.
Great light.I carry the P-5 in my breast pocket using a Mini-Mag accessory kit-clip (the mini-mag lenses & retainer work on the P-5 too). This is a touch bigger than the P-5 and MUCH more powerful so I found it perfect for use as a weapon-light on my AR using the Ade Advanced Optics Tactical Flashlight 30mm Offset Picatinny Mount, which is also available on Amazon. The P-7 is small enough to be comfortably carried in your pocket as well or in the sheath provided. I'm very pleased.
