As they advance, this helps newcomers avoid feeling overwhelmed and fosters confidence in them.The books' occasional tendency to get through some subjects a little too quickly is the only small flaw I could find. Before going on to more advanced topics, it would be helpful for extremely young novices or those without any prior musical experience to go through some additional repetition and reinforcement of some basics. That being said, this is a doable problem with a little more effort and perseverance.
