Microsoft Basic Opticial Mouse for Business - Black - PS2/USB - Replaces 4YH-00001

This is the best mouse ever made why? this mouse works on any surface, cheap, solid and reliable. I have many of them going back for more than 6 years and thay are all working.

I ummed and arred over buying a new mouse because my old one was okay but it was immediately obvious how much better the new one was. Using with an iMac as I prefer using a simple wired mouse with buttons and traditional wheel. Personally it isn't worth buying the cheaper off brand mice when a Microsoft mouse is available. Quality and predictable performance. It's great value and so much better than old mouse even an old MS mouse (still working I might add over 10 years old).

If you've had Microsoft branded mice in the past, this will seem very familiar. It's a little smaller than I had expected and i'm still not to sure about the wasp-waisted body shape. Other than that, it has a nice (old fashioned) clicky mouse wheel and is generally very responsive and accurate. Comparing it to regular budget mice, there are some nice details like the better quality cable, incorporating a ferrite choke (high frequency interference inhibiter), and it even comes with the old USB to PS2 port adapter!

I'll admit it, I get through computer mouses (or should that be mice) like nobody's business. I try and look after them, but I keep dropping them, or the cord breaks. So, no point in investing in something snazzy. This one does the job nicely. I have reasonably small hands, and this fits snugly in the paw. There is a wheel for added movement up and down. The price seems reasonable. Best of all, I ordered on a Saturday afternoon, and it came on Monday. I promise to look after this mouse!

USB 2/ Microsoft compatible. Worked as expected.

It's a mouse and it works perfectly, but not on glass surfaced desks (like most mice). It's absolutely, perfectly, precise for all normal uses and probably gaming too. But since it has no Fisher-Price coloured LEDs, and doesn't require any special drivers, it probably won't be of interest to gamers. Similarly, Microsoft say it is not compatible with iOS, but since this mouse is sensibly priced and finished in black plastic, it definitely won't interest any Apple user.

Have been using this now couple of days. positive: Wheel is quite good, not noisy and stops the scroll well. Has double click option on middle button (good for me :) ). Looks quite good. Double click on middle button works well. negative: Quite noisy compared to all 3 mouses I had before. And the click sound is higher pitch sound also compared to my others. To click I must press harder than with my others, which I do not like so much; although I cannot say its a major issue and fingers surely get used to it. But then again, originally I was looking for a mouse I do not need to press so hard so in that way this was not for me. I surely prefer Logitech RX250 over this and thinking maybe to buy that one (unless a better is found). Also its smaller and lighter than I want a mouse to be. Again Logitech is better in both of those. But logitech has worse wheel (its more noisy) .... so they all have something negative :). One just needs to take the one which has the features like most, and I think Logitech here clearly wins.

I've been using Microsoft mice both at home and at work for many years now, and when my last one finally bit the dust with a broken button I didn't hesitate to look for another Microsoft one. I would have been more than happy to re-purchase the same model, but I'd been using it for so long it was no longer available. Not wanting it for anything other than general desktop work I decided the basic mouse would do the job just fine. Having been using it for the last two weeks I'm happy with the purchase, although it does feel significantly lighter than my last mouse. Although I'm right-handed, I prefer to use a mouse with my left hand to avoid discomfort and the lack of ergonomic 'handedness' works in my favour. At this sort of price, even if it only last two or three years of daily use then I'll consider it another good purchase.

Se trata de un raton básico a muy buen precio y con cable. Tiene buenos acabados y calidades. Existe el mismo modelo inalámbrico que tambien tengo y da unos muy buenos resultados.

Distrutto , dopo tanti ani di onesto ed eccellente servizio, il mouse precedente, sempre di Microsoft, ho ripreso questo in versione aggiornata. Su Window 10, si è installato da solo, via USB, in un lampo! E' ancora più preciso della versione precedente ed è affidabilissimo. Ha lo scroller un po' duretto nello scorrimento, ma poi si scioglie. E' precisissimo, davvero ... e fa il suo dovere alla grande! Esistono mouse più ergonomici, ma , a me, al momento, basta solo questo. Eccellente mouse basic!

User can't properly scroll website because of bad wheel.

I often had a problem with my old MAC Tower "finding" the mouse. This solved the problem. I found the cord awkward but overall it was worth not being told "looking for mouse." Not recommended for those who spend hours on a computer.
