A total life-saver if your safety gate is just slightly too short! This extension was super easy to install — it just clicks into place and stays put. It made my baby gate fit perfectly across a wider doorway. The quality is solid, and it feels sturdy even with kids pulling on the gate. Highly recommend if you’re trying to extend a gate without drilling or hassle.

This item is fit for purpose

Unlike the name and description, this does NOT fit the munchkin lindham baby gate. The slots are different widths, so it no use to me. Unfortunately as i am moving house, i binned all the packaging before fitting so cannot return the item. It is useless to me.

After buying the lindam safety gate and putting it up i thought we were good to go. How wrong i was, even though it was in place and seemed sturdy enough to me my 20mth old daughter and her little friend had other ideas and they could ram toys into the gate so it became loose. The problem was that the screws that hold the gate in place were just a fraction too short for them to be 100% secure which meant there was give in the gate. So i bought this extension to see if this would help, and it does. It comes in 3 pieces which are easily put together and clear instructions on what to remove from the gate to put the extension in place and then fit the removed parts into the new piece (It even comes with spare parts to attach to your wall if you need them). The whole process took 15 minutes from opening the box, removing the gate from the wall and putting it back in place, I am very happy that i bought it and i would recommend it.

Yes, I should have checked the size first, as this one is a bit too tall. After a trip to the shop to get a hacksaw I got it to fit, but didn't expect it to be about 7cm taller than the average gate size. It's also not the best quality item and the connections to the gate are not up to scratch in my opinion. I doubt it will last very long but it's doing the trick in the meantime. Advice: double check the height of your gate before purchase. I assumed that the best seller gate and extension from Amazon would be compatible, but it isn't. I also won't agree with the word "Universal" in the title.

Needed to extend my gate to work from a doorway to a stairway. Worked a treat.

Solid safety gate

We saved our Lindham stair gates to use for our second child. However in the meantime we moved house and they were no longer wide enough by about 5cm. We were going to buy new wider gates until I stumbled across these. They're easy to use and save money and waste if you already have gates that no longer fit. Our gates work exactly the same as they did before and you cant really tell the extension isnt part of the original gate. If you haven't already got stair gates, it might be cheaper to buy bigger ones instead of smaller ones and also have to pay for extensions. However if you already have gates and theyre too small now, this is the perfect solution.
