I have tried many knives and different brands, from very pricy to budget brands. This is, hands down, the best o e. I have to warn that it is very sharp. Be careful.

I did not expect this pairing knife to be as high quality as it is. Great addition to my knife block.

Got this for my adult kid, who chefs like a kitchen God. I'll admit, the name Babish was a huge selling point for me, although I never researched if this was The Babish(common YouTube cooking channel junkies, you know who I'm talking about!). Putting that aside, the feedback from my kid(a major Babish fan) was, this is the perfect knife. Easy to manage and ultra sharp. I will advise the buyer to Keep the knife Away from children(oh, the irony), and probably let someone else handle it if you are accident prone and distracted as me(or just under the influence), but definitely give it a ride if you know what you're doing in the kitchen, it's the knife you won't live behind when moving, unlike the rest of the kitchen items(unless you're buying the best every time, in which case you'll actually save and what not be sorry).

I literally have thousands of dollars of expensive knives. Shun, Wusthof, etc and this line of knives compete with the best of them. Quality wise they are definitely solid. They are sharp out of the box and hold a hell of an edge for months. While the steel is good quality, they are not as thick or as quality as the more expensive ones. But these are cheap enough that I can sharpen them a few times and then replace them. The handles are comfortable and overall I could not recommend these enough. If you are using middle quality knives, these are a great upgrade. If you are using ceramic, throw them in the trash and order some of Babish's knives.
