This is great my 10.7kg Cavachon fits in there just right he quickly got used to it with a few treats we now strap in in & don't use the lid he loves it runs & rides best of both worlds . No problem on rear bike carrier rack of a folding bike did add some wood underneath though. Warning make sure all screws nuts & bolts are tightened before use ours came loose added an extra nut to the tight ingredients screw

Our dog doesn’t want to walk around our neighbourhood after a scare with a firework. So I have to drive him 2k to go for a walk- in an 8 seater minibus lol. The reason for buying was to have an alternative way to get him to some of excellent woods and beaches that are within a short distance. I was also hoping this basket would double up for holding a small bag as my panniers have a narrow opening, but unfortunately it’s a case of one or the other. Fitted the basket to an old bike as practice for the dog.We started by sitting the dog in the basket before it was mounted and rewarding him. This was a bad idea because the dog sensed the basket was unstable and was suspicious. Weleft the basket in the hall for a week so he was familiar with it.Dog is 10kg. He is a terrier x- a long legged fox terrier/ patterdale- similar to a westie but longer thinner legs and neck and more athletic . He looks quite squished but had an uneventful trip to corner shop today and hopefully is associating cycling with treats.The basket itself is very flimsy and overpriced -I think the rain will get it .As a way of moving the dog from A to B it is adequate. A smaller dog such as bichon would be more comfortable.My DH fears for my safety as the combined weight of dog and dog basket adversely affects the stability of the bike by raising centre of gravity. This basket is great my dog loves it ,was worried she might be to big but it’s just right for a chubby french bulldog

I wouldn't put a dog in this unless it's armor plated. Nasty sharp basket weave ends and poorly made.

Got to keep tightening the bolts underneath on both baskets as they keep coming loose.
