Since these are obviously out of order, that is the guide does not match the stones in the container, here’s an easy way to figure out which is which. Given the guide is provided, it should match what’s in the box, and I’m half-tempted to ding it a star for that. Sure, someone who is deep into this can recognize these on sight, but someone who is deep into this isn’t buying this kind of starter kit. Why make so much needless work?First, let’s knock off the easy ones.The only black one is obsidian.The only opaque white one is howliteThe only clear one is clear quartz.The yellow clear one is citrineThe brown one shown in the bottom row, second from the left is tiger’s eyeThe purple one is amethyst.The blue one is sodalite.Now the ones that can cause some confusion.We have two pink ones: rose quartz and cherry quartz or strawberry quartz (strawberry is what I got and is naturally pink where cherry is dyed). Rose quartz is the one in the middle, second to the right in the photo. It’s the lightest of the three stones.We have two green ones: aventurine and amazonite. Amazonite is the one with the white bands. Aventurine is slightly translucent.We have two red ones: red agate and red jasper. Jasper is opaque. Agate is translucent.We have two multi-color sets: rainbow fluorite and agate. This one is the easiest of the tricky ones.Fluorite glows under black light. Color over some tape with a blue marker and put it over a flashlight (the flashlight on your phone works) to make an ad hoc black light if you don’t have one.These have been through a lot of hands, and therefore need a thorough cleaning and charging before they’re good to use.This has at least one stone that is considered specialized for each chakra. Of course, clear quartz and rainbow fluorite are useful for all chakras, and so they make a good choice to include here. I like them for that. For crystal work, it's a matter of attunement to the stone more than the size or any other property. There is a large enough assortment here, you should be able to find at least one or two of each type that resonates with you.The case is nice and secure. No stones popped out or into other chambers in transit.The stones seem nice. They are well tumbled and smooth.
