I was skeptical as to whether replacement pads would be as comfortable or as effective as the originals on my Sennheiser earphones. After a couple of days of use, I feel they may be an upgrade to the orginals. When I bought my headphones, several of the reviews mentioned that the earpads were somewhat small and that they could become uncomfortable over long term wearing. While I found the pads to be small, I did not find them to be uncomfortable. The fit was adequate and I've used them at work nightly for three years. Over time, the cover on the right ear pad started to split open. At first it was just annoying, then it became uncomfortable. Time for new pad. I bought these replacements based on the reviews and price. While not overly difficult to install, they were not super easy either. It requires patience and a little manual dexterity. While it was frustrating at first, I did get the knack of it, and I would buy these again, despite the challenge of installing them. In retrospect, it was not that difficult. The new pads are noticeably more comfortable. There is more space inside the pad for my ear, and the pads are visually thicker and just as soft as the originals. I'm unable to discern a difference in the noise insulation. I would definitely buy them as a replacement, and I almost regret not buying them when I first got these headphones. Pros: Thicker material and just as soft as original Larger interior for ear, more comfortable Relatively inexpensive Cons: Installation was not difficult, but patience is the key. Would definitely recommend them. Will update on long term wear.

They were a bit annoying to put on, but once installed they make my 450BT extremely comfortable as they're much more open around the ears. The only downside is that they hurt ANC performance quite a bit because of the more open nature of the mesh.

Easy install .. I wasn’t sure about replacing the the whole headset but I’m glad i opted out and replaced the ear pads instead .. it feels a lot better the the original ones

super thick and fits well on my HD350s! theres even more room in my ears than in the original pads! 4 stars only because theyre kinda hard to put on...

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD4.50BT that came with ear pads made for a mouse's ears. Although the headphones are great in all other aspects, the factory ear pads are just way too small for an adult human's ears - actually, just the hole where your ear fit into is tiny (although,the do work well on tiny ears). After my last travels where I folded and stuffed my ears into the tiny Sennheiser ear pads I decided it was time to look for a replacement pad. After much searching and reading of reviews I decided to give these a try...EUREKA! My ears were singing me praises and shouting "hallelujah!" after just a few minutes in the new ear pads. No more folding and stuffing. I just put the headphones on like normal and they fit as they should. No pressure on the ear or lobs and no pain or discomfort anymore. They have very good padding and are fit the Sennheiser headphones perfectly. Some people say they are difficult to get on, but I have replaced headphone ear pads on lots of headphones and didn't really find it any more challenging than usual. But, for a newbie, I can see how replacing ear pads is a bit of a struggle. Anyway, if you have adult human ears and want an ear pad that fits them comfortably then look no further. Even with baby ears, these are an excellent choice for replacement ear pads. May your ears rejoice!

Everyone complains about how hard it is to install these, but......they really aren't that hard and they stay on solidly. Installation for this was so daunting, I put it off for months. Here's the deal, when you pull your old ones off, you'll see that there is a ring of material that slips inside a gap between the speaker guard and the housing of the headphones. On the edge of that material is a black shiny elastic band. It looks impossible, but think of it like a shower cap. Once stretched slightly, it wants to close back in and go into the gap. Position the headphones so that you can access the top part of the earpiece you want to install first. (this is literally the most difficult part of the job) Gently stretch the material and slip a little bit of it over the headphone housing and wiggle it into the gap. Once you get a little bit in there, squeeze that spot to hold it in place and stretch the neighboring parts of the "shower cap" so you can fit them over the housing. That little band on the edge that wants to slip into the gap for you, it's not going to fight you, once the edge gets in the gap, it constricts inward by itself. A couple guitar pics will help you stuff it into the gap to get it started or hold it for you while you work another area. Toothpicks might work, just be careful that nothing cuts or pierces the material. Keep squishing the ear pad down with your holding hand where you've gotten the material in the gap so it doesn't slip out - then work your way all the way around with your other hand. Reach your fingers until the earpad to pull the material out and stretch it over (like a shower cap) and you'll notice it seating itself. Be careful to squeeze the other side so it doesn't pull out on one side while it goes in on the other. When I got to the end (bottom, because starting it at the top of the headphones makes it easier) I used some PC chip pullers to try to hook the material (a crochet hook would work better) to snag the material under the earpad and pull it out. When I did the second one, I skipped the hook and just squeezed the earpad at the top to hold it in place and pulled/stretched the earpad with my fingers to pull it out enough to find the cap. It fell right into place. Once it looks like it might be seated, you can rotate the earpad slightly each way to get it to seat evenly. You'll notice it's on solidly and not about to pull off, even though it looks like a loose fit. Takes about 10 minutes to do the first one, about 3 minutes to do the second one, once you've figured out your technique.

Received these for Christmas, more comfortable and overall improvement. I have the Sennheiser 450BTs from two years prior, and the ear cushions were falling apart, with the gray PA leather material being very cheap and non-lasting, on top of the sizing not actually fitting anybody's ears and getting uncomfortable after just "sitting" on my ears. These fabric ones, however, are undeniably more durable, actually breathable, and the holes allow my ears to fit inside comfortably. The only downside is the very obnoxious fitting procedure, where you almost need three or four hands to properly hold everything down to get it around the headphones. Although this was annoying, it also ensures a very snug fit, ensuring they won't come off easily either. Sennheiser really should have just packed the factory headphones with a more durable pad such as these. Buy these if you are looking for a replacement or find the stock pads uncomfortable just like everybody else does!

These new ear pads are stitched vs glued, which is why my original ear pad ripped. A little tricky to put on the new ear pad but they will fit on the headphones and feel as good as the original. The fabric between back of the ear pad that touches where the sound comes from on the headphones is a little thinner than originals but I don't think it will matter.

These ear pads have turned my Sennheiser HD 450 SE from good to awesome. They are so much more comfortable now and completely cover my (average size) ears. I can wear them for hours & hours without getting ear or head pain. The opening is much larger than the originals and therefore enclose my ears completely. ANC isn't noticably affected (as it's not good to start with) sound quality is still excellent. Highly recommended.
