I had high hopes for this. Standing at the ironing board for hours (cumulatively) hemming various sewing projects is not fun. However, using this for hemming is an exercise in futility, so very frustrating. Because it's made out of plastic that is quite flexible, it gives too much to use on an ironing board with thick padding that also gives. The way in which it is designed also results in a gap that doesn't give a true hem measurement -- i.e., if I have measured a 1/2" hem the gap allows the fabric to billow in a way that results in a hem larger than 1/2". There is no way to press this against fabric to ensure an accurate hem due to the combination of the gap and the flexible plastic. It's been a long time since I've quilted, but I really can't see how this could be beneficial for quilting either. So I am still using my trusty old cheap flimsy metal gauge with the plastic slider. Those are so cheap that I can leave one next to the ironing board, next to the sewing machine, and at my cutting table and still their combined cost is less than this item -- and my hems are true.

I assumed this would be metric but it's not it's American and in inches.............AAHHHH.....my fault I should not assume. It 'does what it says on the tin' perfectly so if you're happy with feet and inches then this would be good for you...I, however, shall buy a metric one.

Not had chance to use this tool yet but I have one similar, this does so much more than my old one if watched videos of people using it so I’m pleased at what it can do .

I haven't used all the features yet, but for hemming I found it more time consuming than working 'by eye' which is how I have managed for 40 years. It is more flimsy than I expected, having said that I'm sure that I will use the compass feature (I'm doing a circle bag soon) and the button hole measure will be handy.

Easy to use, but check product specifications. It's only got imperial measurements.
