Bloccs Waterproof Cast Cover Arm, Swim, Shower & Bathe, Watertight Protector, Child Short Arm (Large)

My son got a forearm break and was in a lower arm cast. We got this so he could still go in the pool and sea on holiday, and have showers of course. It worked perfectly with very little leaking, which only really occurred when he was getting bashed by waves. Otherwise it held up really well to water, fitted well and has lasted 5 of the 7 weeks he’s been in plaster. Yes there’s a little bit of loosening around the seal, but not so much as it has lost waterproofing. If anything it’s now just a bit more comfortable. We bought a cheaper version first and it was ridiculous so sent it back. This was perfect. And fortunately just long enough that when they unexpectedly changed his cast to an above elbow, it still just about fitted!

Amazing product! My 11 year old broke his arm at the start of the summer and was in a cast for 4 weeks. This sleeve allowed him to swim, take part in water fights with his friends and have baths and showers. His cast remained dry throughout and the sleeve is surprisingly hard-wearing so still looks as good as new! Highly recommended.

Does the job perfectly, my son was rather concerned that water would get inside but to his amazement his cast was completely dry. The only thing I would change about this item, is that the hand area really doesn't need to be so big, not for his injury anyway. Maybe different for a different kind of injury. Also, the V between thumb and hand could be a bit deeper in order to grip items with a bit more ease. Other than that, it's great.

I brought one of these for myself a few years ago and put it away somewhere safe when I no longer needed it (for future use if/as necessary!) I Couldn't find it when my son broke a bone in his hand recently so my priority was to get another one as it was such a life-saver. You don't have to worry about bathing, showering, swimming or anything else involving water and trying not to get your cast wet. You can retain some of your privacy as you don't have to get other people to help you wash - you do look a bit like a "smurf" wearing one but who cares. Excellent product - easy to use, clean and dry.Unfortunately my son did manage to get a tiny pin-prick hole in his so not sure I will be able to keep it for future use.....hence the score of 4 and not 5. I think that may have been his fault as opposed to the arm cover though as I didn't damage mine!

My 11 year old daughter was fooling around fractured just as I was loading the car for a holiday she fractured her wrist and was very upset that she wouldn’t be able to go swimming. I decided to have a look on amazon to see if there was anything she could use and I came across this beaut which had a lot of great reviews so I ordered it and had it delivered to a amazon locker near to where we were staying. We went to the pool and as soon as she realised it was water resistant she was gone, the lazy river in the wave pool and on all the water shoots it really is great. She is also a competitive swimmer and trains 5 times a week and this lasted up to the time her cast came off and is still useable.

My son broke his wrist, he's a really active kid so his football was out of the picture so started to pick up more swimming, came bang on time for a family swim session. He's 11. A tall lad and I ordered L kids short arm. Probably could've managed the next size up. He swam for over 40 mins and his cast was bone dry. Would be ideal on holiday!

This is amazing.. don’t buy any other brand it will be a waste of money.. I bought 2 different sizes, M & L.. my son b4 we went on holiday said the medium was to tight , but this is the one that he has been using, totally water proof , no leaks & no complaints of being sore.. excellent .. just buy 2 different sizes if ur not sure.. we’ll worth the money

I am an adult but am quite small and wear children's clothes. Knowing the adult version of the waterproof Bloccs would definitely be too big I ordered the child's size. It maybe a good tight fit round the top but the hand part is ridiculously large and makes showering washing hair and household chores much harder to accomplish. My son is almost 6foot and he put his hand beside the thumb and hand part only to find the amount round the hand and the length would be enormous even for him. I am aware there has to be room for a cast to fit. This I do not feel would be safe for a child to go swimming in. I bought two one for upstairs and one for the kitchen ( Hygiene ) The distance from the thumb and the end of the hand is so far apart the two cannot be used together. I use it without my thumb in it at all. I had searched everywhere before I had bought these on Amazon. I was desperate by the time they arrived so put up with the inconvenience. I return this Monday 9th November after being in cast since 1st October. I also found they were much too tight at the top. I do have child size arms as the person putting the plaster on commented on. I am in and out of the shower as quick as possible because it is sore to wear these for any length of time. I cannot think a child could wear them for any time while swimming. 3 stars is actually a good score considering the problems using the product.
