How secure is lid on container? We saw many complaints about breaking and spilling in shipping.

I had no issues, top was sealed. But i can see how this hard platic could break ezly. But the time it could take to recive would'nt compramize the freahness, i cellophane'ed the top and its lasted me over a year with no lack of smell or quality from my 300 gals of aquatic life, there still thriving quite well on it. So in short the food quality is great and long lasting, if ur mad because you have to clean up a box... grow up?
