De'Longhi Capsule HFX30C18.IW Ceramic Fan Heater - White

This is a really impressive nicely designed little heater. Very simple to use and has been used in a large bedroom where is was surprisingly effective. I have since been using it in a smaller office where it heats the room within minutes. Very effective and As it doesn’t need to run for long periods of time, cost effective too.

Way more powerful than it looks and much smaller than the cheap ones I've had before. Can't heat a concert hall, definitely helps in a wintery bedroom though. Seems solid, but lacks some basic safety features (you can knock it over and it will stay on)

So much heat from such a small cute heater. It matches my decor and gives more of a a designer look than other less attractive heaters. A little noisy so I use it to heat the room first often turning off when relaxing. I love DeLonghi style.

If I wrote this review a couple of days ago it'd be a reasonable 4 stars or thereabouts. Decent heat output and range, although pushes the heat "upwards" a lot.Any good review gets decimated by the flimsy back stand. The heater is unusable without it and just staring at it the wrong way makes it break. Mine broke just now, a nudge in the wrong direction and the stand broke making the heater entirely useless.Any tech is as good as it's weakest part and it's a shame its weakest part is so weak. Everything else about it was decent but as soon as the backstand goes it is entirely useless.

It makes loud noise to heat you up. The degree(1&2) of heat is not functioning. But the quality of the heater body wise is good and it looks cute. I was almost giving up on it because of noise, but I had to have something under my desk during winter so didn't return it.

I seems that there are mixed opinions on this heater from other reviewers.Likewise my first impressions of this heater has resulted in only a 3 STAR review.The heater arrived on the COLDEST Day of the year 12/12/17 with over 5 inches of SNOW outside it was a warming treat, especially seeing that the central heating has packed up!First impressions count, within 5-minutes I was considering returning the heater, why?I am big on Product design, this heater wins hands down with the visual design, but there are some serious issues with choices and design of materials.The FOOT, err, you have a kick-out stand that's hard to open, then is made from BREAKABLE Plastic!Why has it got a kick out stand? as it doesn't stand up by itself, so if this flimsy looking foot breaks off?? what do you do??There is even NO CUT OFF Button on the base, so if your heater falls over - well it will keep on working and will BURN your carpet/ flooring - is this a MAD design or what?The HANDLE - looks great visually, but you need a small hand to hold it with, so more cosmetic than functional, but it works.As a HEATER, well wasn't at first impressed, it was replacing a 10-year old ceramic heater that was really powerful for a small heater. And my original heater was only a 1.5Kw, not 1.8Kw as this unit is.I was using it in my office, and it didn't seem to heat the room up, but it was the coldest day of the year! Later that night I warmed a room 18ft x 12ft in about 1/2 hr to 27 degrees, so this heater is POWERFUL.Overall, II LOVE the design and look of the Heater, but its the concern of that FOOT and the questionable plastics used on the foot.Furthermore the lack of an AUTO CUTOUT switch gives concern, as this unit can be easily knocked over. I#ve tested it out, if you knock it from the side, it will roll onto its back! This will due to lack of airflow via the fan could cause the unit to overheat fast. As the main body of the heater is a heavy plastic, would be interested in knowing if this was a Hi Resistance Thermal plastic, otherwise you could find a melted blob on the floor!So 5 STARS for LOOKS2 STARS for choice of materials and poor foot designOVERALL 3 STARS - its OK,
