Beautiful, well made, high quality wool blanket
I would give this blanket 6 stars if I could. This is a really nice military-type survival blanket. Military-type blankets were issued to be used on cots or to sleep on the ground. They are an appropriate size for someone to haul around all day in their backpack and still be able to stay warm at night. The description clearly states that it is 66” x 90”; a twin-sized blanket is 60”x 84”. It will not fit on a larger bed. I bought it with the intention of keeping it in my car for emergencies but it’s so pretty that I’m using it as a lap blanket. I bought another one to use in the car. It would be a really nice gift. It's very well made. The weaving is surprisingly tight and the stitching around the sides is exceptional. You can see from the photos that a serger was used to hem the blanket before the decorative stitching was added. I expect this blanket to hold up very well. The description says 80% wool but the label says that it’s 70% wool, 30% synthetic fibers. It is $17.99, so I don’t care. It will keep me warm even if it’s wet, it won’t burn easily, and I can put it in the washer. If you want to wash wool, it HAS to contain synthetic fibers so it won’t shrink (use the delicate cycle and cold water only). I avoid using the dryer.Wool isn’t necessarily fire retardant but it doesn’t burn easily. Synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon, and acrylic melt and stick to your skin; which makes a burn much worse – doctors have to remove the plastic before they can get to the burn. If you tossed a cotton sweater into a fire it would burn up, the synthetic one would be a melted pile of mess, and the wool one would be singed. If you know you’re going to be working around a fire, wear natural materials ONLY! (Including your shoes)Natural fibers are short in comparison to synthetic fibers and are going to pill and shed. When you put the blanket in the washer and dryer to remove the loose fibers, you are literally pulling the fibers out of the blanket – all of that fuzz is your blanket! Wool is covered with lanolin, which causes most liquids to just bead up on it and it’s easy to sponge off most dirt. When you wash your wool blanket, you’re removing the lanolin. Try not to wash or dry it. Sponging it off and airing it out is the best way to care for wool. I wear wool sweaters during the winter and wear a cotton t-shirt underneath to absorb perspiration and odors so I don’t have to wash them as often. When I opened the package, the blanket didn’t smell any worse than a new pair of jeans would when it came out of the same package. The odor was faint and slightly odd. If anything, it didn’t smell enough like lanolin. I hung it over the shower curtain rod for 24 hours to air it out and that little bit of odor is completely gone. This blanket is really soft but it isn’t merino wool or cashmere. I know this about wool and it doesn’t bother me.Last November, I bought another, more expensive wool blanket for my bed but I like this one much, much better.

Not 100% wool, but still a good price for the quality and closest you'll get to 100% for this price.
Good price for the quality. I was disappointed that it wasn't 100% wool, it was maybe 70% wool and 30% polyester. It smelled strongly of chemicals before washing, so I think it had fire retardant on it. It's very warm. Kinda scratchy but ok if you put another blanket beneath it. It didn't shed much in the washer. The size is perfect for a twin bed, maybe even a full. The weight seems good.

Warmth
I was chilli other night so I threw this thin cover stop of my bed blankets and with in 10 minutes I got snuggly warmer. It's smooth thin & warm, I will be buying more in future for my familys winter needs . Thank you for a good product & affordability!

Warm and soft
These are great. Soft, warm. They do not smell. I use them for a curtain divider in my pop up trailer at each bunk. If it is extra cold I use it as an additional blanket. Well worth the money.

It’s ok
Don’t realize it is a full size blanket and not the larger size I was expecting. It is thinner than my other wool blankets, but it is a keeper. Use it as a throw blanket. I am happy with it.

Unbelievable quality and value!
I would rate these blankets 6/5 stars if I could. If you’re thinking about getting one of these at all, do not hesitate to order - in fact, not to sound like a blanket shill, but you should probably order more than one.I ordered five of these at once to give as Christmas gifts because of the value for the purported item. Having been shopping around for wool blankets for a while now, I was very skeptical due to how shockingly low the price was, as well as the fact that there are two different sizes described in different areas of the listing. However, I figured that even if the blankets were the smaller of the two sizes, and/or if they were a bit lower quality than suggested, I wouldn’t be out much - if they weren’t giftable, then worst case scenario I could donate them to my local warming shelter and they’d still serve a worthy purpose.BUT! They’re amazing! I’m so glad I took a chance on these blankets because they’re genuinely wonderful - like, I kind of feel like I won the lottery (albeit an admittedly smallish lottery). They’re huge, they’re incredibly soft right out of the box despite the high wool content (70%), they have zero smell (neither any sheepy smell nor the petroleum-y smell that camp blankets often come with), and they came packaged individually wrapped with a satin bow that matches the embroidered border stitching! They’re even in color and weave and they don’t have any of the composite look that many camp blankets have. They actually don’t seem like a camp blanket at all, tbh - definitely more like a blanket that is intended for bedding. There’s really nothing negative to say about them. The only thing I can think of to note is that I think the listing photos make them look like they’re cream-colored with red stitching, but in reality, they’re more of a light/medium, natural looking gray color and the stitching is a deep, violet-tinged wine red.Because these go above and beyond any of the other blankets I bought as gifts, I’m now returning all the others - all except one, because these blankets are so nice that I have literally no choice but to keep one for myself :)

It’s actually not 100% wool
I was looking only for 100% wool blanket.Description of this blanket says 100% woolI bought this blanket and I was extremely disappointed when I opened and found out that on the label it’s says 70% wool and 30% polyester. It’s actually not 100% wool .It’s a scam. This item is being fausley advertised.
